Who are some of your favorite players you’ve watched growing up that would fit perfectly with this staff? I was watching mike Alstott highlights and I couldn’t help thinking how fun it would be to watch him on this team. Mark bavaro would be another. Who are your old favorites from other era’s?

90s Junior Seau. The intensity and toughness that guy played with was incredible.

Speilman recommended Campbell be hired, because Campbell reminded Spielman of himself in his interview. Which means that would come full circle.

I know this wasn’t the question, but in this years draft, Cam Skattebo fits the Dan Campbell profile to a T!!!

Hines ward was definitely a Campbell dude.
Man did I want Detroit to go after Harrison when the chargers released him. He was a dude!
His play-style does, but I’m not sure about his personality. One of the scouts that Bob McGinn quotes for his draft series said this about him:
“Looks like a garbage man. Short, squatty, bad body. Crazy thing is, his makeup’s not very good. They don’t really like the guy at the school other than the fact what he does on Saturday."
So I obviously can’t confirm that and it could be a whole lot of nothing. The other scouts don’t say it so blatantly, though maybe they kind of hint at it with stuff like “he’s an oddball.” I don’t want to slander the guy, which is why I’m saying maybe. I could be wrong here. But there are definitely some whispers out there.
Hines Ward run blocking was a wild man! Here he is knocking Ed Reed into a different dimension.
John Randle was the first player that came to mind for me.
