Decker's contract details

Pretty similar to the structure of the contracts that they’ve done for Sewell, Goff and ARSB. Cash flow is fairly ratable. Low initial year cap hit, large cap hits over final 3yrs of contract plus one void year to help mitigate the cap charges.

This puts the Lions at $43M under the cap, probably use at least $13M for practice squad and in-season moves, so they will roll over a significant amount to 2025.

Do McNeil this year as well???

Maybe, but I don’t think there’s urgency for either Brad or Alim/Alim’s agent at the moment. From Brad’s point of view, the DT market is already high and unlikely to spike plus he has some plausible succession plan in place with Levi, BroMart and Wingo possibilities in 2025 and beyond.

Decker is a Lion for at least this season and next.
I suspect 2026 if Manu or some other player is able to take the starting position.
I hope he plays the entire contract out.

This is the issue. And that’s why I say get it done. IMHO, its going nowhere but up, up, up, and very well could spike. More urgency for Brad rather than Alim.

Amazing that when it was announced that they said that they don’t know any of the details and then when the details are released, they are exactly what they didn’t know.
