My bigger concern than his tape was that he had to be talked into sticking with football for the money back in high school. Someone here has a connection with people who knew him, but I forget who it was.
My biggest problem is Brodric pad level PTSD.

But he did it a ton in 2023 but overcame it a good among with his freakiness. And don’t get me wrong I LOVED him coming out of 2023. I’m not totally out. Just resigned that if we’re taking that swing we’re sending Rob Deer up to bat.
No I know, you and me both. And we both came into the year with fixing that being his main issue… but what this means is maybe there’s still hope! He pretty much couldn’t fix it last year. Unless… unless the fracture made it more difficult to stand up straight and he did it anyway, in which case he’s probably doomed.
True. I still think refining the body and becoming a Stephon Tuitt type of monster is his best path to dominance.

That’s my thing with Deone Walker is that I don’t think he’s a NT in which case if we’re not running an odd front where do you put him? 3T I suppose, but I like A LOT of guys more than Walker in this class more suited to that role. If we’re planning on incorporating some odd front looks then it’s worth taking a swing on him otherwise he’s kind of a scary prospect IMO

If we want him I will think it’s for the Levi role. And if he can remake his body a bit I think that role might work out great for him. But he’s absolutely not a NT IMO.
Admittedly if they believe his back is healthy and that his 2023 tape is the “real Deone Walker” than he might be a huge steal, but it’s quite the risk. Of course we all know that BH isn’t averse to risk.
