I doubt that seriously. Hamilton is a 2 time all pro and a second team all pro. Jamo hasn’t touched that. He certainly has the potential to, but he hasn’t as of yet.
Yeah, but still, it contradicts your assertion that a Pro-Bowl safety would never net what a promising WR like Jamo would. I mean they gave up more for Adams than teams who traded for great WRs like Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Davonte Adams and Stephon Diggs more recently. I’m not saying you are wrong, but I think what you and I have to understand is that teams move different. What a team will trade for or what they might need would be different. A team who needs a WR may give up more than that player is valued because they need him, like Dallas with the Roy Williams trade with Detroit in 2008. Seattle needed Adams so they gave up more than what they probably should have. Even if some think thats the worst trade in NFL History is besides the point. That trade happened in 2020 and Seattle just won a Super Bowl. The Jets have been one of the worst teams in the NFL since that trade.
Yes sir they did…that’s how the recovered from the Adams deal. Two firsts and two 2nds I believe two years after they traded for Adams. But thats the way that business works, gotta constantly move each day. Its why I never bitch about Brad Holmes
I have no memory of what happened to Nick Fairly. I remember he played well, but inconsistent, and had trouble with his weight and injuries. Then poof he was gone. I don’t even remember him not being on the team anymore or what happened to him after.
As bad as Matt Millen was, i also think he had really bad luck. Charles Rogers was a good pick but character concerns. BMW was considered by many the best player in that draft i think Mel Kiper was the one raving about him. But he had character concerns too. And weight problems. The guy was on the bike when he was on the sideline. Makes you happy BH only drafts Dan Campbell guys. I loved Roy Williams. I think we were all just mostly sick of him taking all these damn WR’s and then also Calvin. I was so tired of WR’s i wanted Patrick Willis.
They’re missing Ernie Sims who was a bust. They wanted their version of Derrick Brooks. They missed out on Ngata and tons of other great players. Cherlius also.
These past GM’s were obsessed with building the Detroit Patriots, Titans, Buccaneers, 49’ers and Mayhew with the stupid Ebron pick trying to build the Saints with their Jimmy Graham. Mayhew always claimed he picks BPA. I hated him so much.
All these players were close to 30 or order when they were traded. Feels disingenuous to use them in this discussion. It would be like me bringing up what Minkah Fitzpatrick was traded for to prove my point but he’s past his prime
