@JerseyJungle agreed that sucks when you plunked down the cash. These remaining games will be trash I imagine. At least you got to see them.
And most important, spent quality time with a couple of grandkids. Win, lose, or tie, in the grand scheme, it doesnât matter. But those grandkids will remember going to a game with their grandfather for a lifetime
The Wolves beat the Pacers tonite. For our trade swap with Minnesota to convey, the magic number is down to one for BOTH Toronto and Phoenix.
The Wolves need to win one more game (Magic, Rockets, Pelicans)
OR
Both the Raptors (Heat, Knicks, Nets) and Suns (Rockets, Mavs, Lakers, Thunder) need to lose one more game.
Ok, unfortunately, the Suns lost to the Rockets last night. Why is that unfortunate? Because Minnesota is now LOCKED into the 6th seed in the West. Meaning they have absolutely no incentive to win another game. They have three to play, and if they were smart in this season of rampant tanking, they would lose all three to finish at 47-35.
If that happens, the Raptors need to lose one more game to finish at 46-36. The Raptors are deparately fighting to avoid the play-in.
Alternatively, the Hawks need to lose two game to finish with 36 losses. The Hawks are aso trying to avoid the play-in.
If neither of those happen, weâre at the mercy of a coin-flip I believe, with either the Raptors-Hawks-Wolves, Wolves-Raptors, or Wolves-Hawks. Dammit, i wanted the Suns to win that game so the Wolves would need to win one more for the six seed.
If this doesnât go our way, Iâm going to throw up. ![]()
Edit - actually if the Wolves win their last three games, and Rockets lose their last three games, the Wolves win that tiebreaker and get the 5th seedâŚbut the chance of that happenning has got to be .00001. (Wolvesâ> Magic, Rockets, PelicansâŚRocketsâ>76ers, Wolves, Grizzlies).
Cade Cunningham is back tonight.
He looked great tonight. 10 dimes and was extremely efficient from the field.
So the only teams that could screw it up for the Pistons would be Atlanta and Toronto. Well, Atl just lost tonight.
He looked better than I thought he would. Great news.
Yeah, after last night, the Wolves lost, Atlanta lost to Cle (yea), and Toronto was idle. So the Wolves now canât even catch Houston, they are definately locked into the six seed, with zero incentive to win another game. And every incentive to lose their last two.
The Magic number for the Hawks is 1. The Magic number for the Raptors is 1. Its OR (not And). Hawks still need to lose 1 (Cle or Mia) OR the Raptors need to lose 1 (Mia, NY, NJ), Either one happens, and the pick conveys. If one of the two happens we pick 20th. If they both happen we pick 21st. If neither happens, we enter into a coin flip with 33% chance to pick 28th.
This should have happened last week! I wish we would have tanked aginst the Wolves. Sweating till the end.
Joel Embiid had surgery for appendicitis and will be out for 6 weeks.
Toronto won again tonite. Magic number still 1 for Toronto OR Atlanta. Two games to go.
Embiid doing Embiid things.
Literally has missed more games to injury than he has played in his career. He and Ben Simmons.

Holland is rolling early!
My least favorite PistonâCaris Lavert. The dude is a shooting machine. Not a make machine, just a shooting machine.
Iâve been hard on him about his deep shooting this year. I liked the look of his shot and thought he could eventually be a shooter. I guess in the end he was able to get good experience and we were still winning. Hopefully he continues in the playoffs. Would be pretty damn sweet.
Good game tonight
This team just doesnât seem to take a night off. Even when the game means little against a team trying to get out of the play-in game, they roll to a victory.
