Do you bench jamo?

At least for a game or quarter? That was infantile. Hes not a kid. Hes a 20something man.

The reality is he will never grow up and be a pro. He should be dealt in the offseason. He will never be reliable. I would make him inactive next game.

No, you don’t.

End of thread.

I think he was.

The coach said to him “the play was over” and when Jamo tried to plead his case further, the coach said “not another word.”

His punishment, if this continues, will come when it’s time to extend him

No, Keenan Allen made an equally dumb mistake. It happens. If it becomes a pattern then, yeah, you bench him. It WAS a really dumb mistake though, he needs to learn from it and for the most part he’s been disciplined on the field so you let this one go.

Can’t replace him the rest of the season, but i happily would take a SRP for him in the off-season. And no way do I extend him.

He’s an incredibly talented player. If you could put St Browns head on Jamos body, he could be the best receiver of all time. Personally I’ve seen enough. It’s always something with this guy. There is some team out there that would give up more than they should for him, and I would offload him in the offseason. It’s year 3, and every time he takes 3 (very fast) steps forward, he takes 2 back. That stupid flipped ball to the face of the Bears guy could’ve been a backbreaker, and runs completely counter to the culture Dan and Brad have built here. Enough apologizing for this guy.

I have tried to stay positive with Jamo. The gambling, the PED, the gun charge, now this juvenile act that effectively ended a drive that we desperately needed! Sorry, I bench him for a drive then broom him when his contract is up! Overgrown man-child

I think its worth having a conversation with him that you get your revenge on the next play…not the current one. Amani Toomer said he had that mindset and tries to get players he talks to to see it the same way.

I watched the play unfold and I saw Jamo take a small shot well out of bounds from the player he threw the ball at. He didn’t do it randomly. But the coaches have a teachable moment to work with.

I think Dan and Randle-El have to at least have a closed door discussion with Jamo. Make it clear, do it again and you ain’t gonna play.

I would scold his ass something fierce , and next time bench his butt , might break through his thick head to knock that childish, selfish, bullshit off !!!

Weird that this place has watched how star players behave AGAINST the Lions, pined for the days that it would happen FOR the Lions, and still get upset when it actually DOES happen for the Lions.

This isn’t a church league FFS.

Excellent players in the NFL are often flashy but stupid sometimes.

Where have you guys been for the last 30 years?

PS Bring Back Randy Moss

He got what he deserved from coaching after the penalty. I’m sure he’ll be better

Weird that I didn’t notice, but did they have him riding the bench for the rest of the game after the penalty?

Randle-El was giving Jamo the business after the penalty. He knows he screwed up. We have to hope that the message gets through this time.

Bench him :joy::joy::joy::joy:……Pretty sure DC will have an animated discussion with him and he’ll learn! I know he’s immature at times, but u can’t bench his talent for a penalty……

I simply refuse to make any real concessions if I’m the front office during extension negotiations. Jamo is unreal athletically, but I worry that keeping him long term will undermine the coaching staffs message. I like Jamo and he makes me drop my jaw when he hits speed, but he is a guy I might like more okln another team considering what his production has been.
