The only thing I have to say to Nick Wright is “You ug-ah-ly.”

So I am about to expand I am sure more than 1 persons horizons. And I learned about this concept many years ago.

But Nick Wright and for that matter many talking heads like to engage in Dissenting Leadership techniques.

I think there is for sure some merit to the concept and approach. But it also can get a bit tiresome when certain people always take that approach to all subjects…

My issue is with any discussion on who is the best team gets silly. Because for me if you want to beat the Lions you better be WAY WAY more talented or be willing to take the punches and enjoy getting dragged into the deepest of ends. That a discussion on man v man pure talent does not work. As the Lions are way more than the sum of their parts. And that is why they are so much fun to watch.

Just want to say one thing before putting this thread on mute. (Nothing personal, I’m just not interested in threads about professional trolls).

We are a market. Onepride is a market. How much of a market? Bots propagate ads on twitter with the #onepride tag to reach us. Ads/tweets for stock investments and other such rubbish, just to get them in front of a highly engaged audience.

The shows online and on tv know how to get viewers just like advertisers know how to get views.

No publicity is bad publicity for these people.

Peace out.

Honestly Ive never been a Nick Wright fan. But how anyone can take this guy seriously when he picked Caleb and the Bears to make the SB? I guess any publicity is good publicity but that’s just an all time terrible take.

This take isn’t as far fetched as we may dislike it. Most talking heads think the eagles are better and they are looking at:

  1. Lions are great on offense pass and run but the eagles are great against the run and pass as well on defense.
  2. Lions have so many injured on defense and the eagles do not.
  3. They believe the eagles offensive line is better then Detroits, splitting hairs both are great, but their great OL going against our depleted DL.

Ironically, packers great James Jones of all people, is backing the lions to get to the super bowl.

The further we go the harder it gets, Eagles is a good team, but every time Nick talks his shit we win and he looks like a fool over and over again. I’m not breaking the trend I will post his opinion and then watch it turn into foolishness. It’s been going on for awhile now. So once again Nick talks shit again and I think the Lions prove him wrong again.

The thing that sticks out to me is the Eagles lost 3 games and have been pretty healthy the Lions have lost 2 games being pretty unhealthy.

Haters gonna hate.
What’s the Eagles record? What was their strength of schedule?
Clearly, they’re Philly homies.

I’m not sure it’s homies, alot of people and talking heads has had this opinion, the thing is there reason was our injuries and defense . They expected us to loose one of these last games and we didn’t we found away to win each time. The Eagles were thought to win out and take that 1 seed. But they found away to loose one of them games and blew that #1 seed chance. Some have a hard time admitting there wrong. But this shit don’t add up.

to that I say , Bring on The Eagles !!! If you want to run your mouth LFG-see who comes out on top bitches!

IMO, there’re several teams with reasonable claims to being “the best team.” Especially in light of all the Lions injuries, it’s not insult for folks to think that the Eagles, Chiefs, whoever, are better.

But, as others have suggested, it’s a mistake to think you can measure the strength of a football team just by adding the strength of its parts. The Lions’ O is awesome, the D is okay-at-best because of injuries. The Eagles have a good-very good O and a great D, so:

Good-very good O + great D > Awesome O + Meh D. Eagles win.

Obviously any number of factors that modify that “equation” - the particulars of matchups, how AA’s return upgrades the D along several dimensions, home-field advantage, the strength of sheer “belief” DC and the coaching staff have instilled in the Lions, the benefits of the bye week, etc.

Excited to see how it all plays out!

Nick Wright is a journalist, not an analyst. He had no experience working for or in either a pro or college football program.

The opinion that Philly may be better than Detroit at this moment in time isn’t totally unreasonable. That isn’t the issue.

The issue is that Nick Wright is a knuckle-dragging, goofy-looking, dumbass clickbait artist who’s made trolling Lions fans his MO.

Every time he tweets, there should be nothing but a wall of replies re-tweeting his prediction that the Bears go to the Super Bowl.

It’s hard to argue that he’s not an analyst considering he seems to pull all of his opinions straight out of his ass.

Philly won’t be our next opponent no matter what happens this weekend. Don’t get distracted by what “might” happen.

If there is an upset on Sunday we will know our opponent and start preparing for them on Monday. If no upsets on Sunday, our opponent will be one we know and have already beaten this year.

He should be humiliated for his ignoramus anal-istic stance on the Vikings game, but he’s placing a loser’s bet to go double or nothing.
I bet somebody that resembled Dan C. probably took his lunch money in school.

Neither does “loose”
