Dylan Raiola - why did he choose Nebraska?

Chiles is four months younger than Dylan. I think Chiles will be a good QB but Dylan seems to be on another level throwing the ball and I don’t think that’s bc of four months. I was also really impressed with Dylan’s poise and processing. Though Fox cut away for two quarters so for some of that I’m going off of highlights.

This is all true, but i watched the msu game and their is big time issues with msu oline and wr.

He has “it”, Nebraska football could very well be fun to watch again these next three years.

They’ve got some dudes now as well. Neyor in particular is a dude. Banks is a high level big bodied possession receiver. Lloyd and Barney are small but can fly. Dowdell can thump. Malachi Coleman is an enigma but is their most talented athlete IMO.

If you look at their schedule it’s quite possible they’re 7-0 going into Columbus. Secondary will be stressed next week but CU is going to have issue holding up on both fronts.

I thought Dylan threw the ball better than any Husker since Vince Ferragamo. Of course Vince was a statue in the pocket and mostly a back up but he did okay with the Rams. Dylan looked so much better than he was in the spring game and he looks special.
I was not impressed with our skill position players. Neyor looked like he might be ok but the rest were just meh. I thought our TE #24 would be better. Our 2 DTs look good but I was not impressed with the rest of our defense. We are going to have our hands full against Colorado if we can’t run the ball or find a pass rusher. Robinson and Nutsacker can penetrate but I don’t see Sanders having any problem avoiding that rush. I’d be real happy if we can pull this one out. I’m not sure we are ready for that kind of passing attack.

Neyor was two inches away from a 180 yard day. Barney looked electric. Nelson looks like he has unreal potential. Banks looks like a legit college possession WR. We know Lloyd is a burner just didn’t see much. I thought Dowdell looked great until the fumble which is inexcusable. Yeah, Fidone needs to be better but they need to use him differently. Less flat stuff and more attacking the seem.

Settle down there

Bumping only to say that it makes sense that Dominic raiolas son is a QB, he spent years watching his dad operate several yards behind the line of scrimmage. Usually on run plays.

Seriously though, if he sticks around he’ll keep Nebraska a tough out for years.

Yeah, with apologies to Husker, Dylan lacks that signature win. Even in high school. That was a rough pick at the end of the OSU game for him. Hope he gets there, but still a long way to be a first round pro prospect. Be interested in others’ early takes.

Third string LT. He’s definitely hit a bit of a Freshman wall. He had two critical misses earlier in the game. Both just about 18 inches too far. One miss cost us four points. Did get a TD on the other. But they’ve got to get better running the ball. The 4th and 1 stop at the line was the ball game. Also, Kenny Satterfield is IMO a putrid OC and Matt Rhule is now something like 2-23 in his career against the top 25. So there are issues beyond Dylan.

I just think that he looks pretty good for a 19 year old when it comes to composure and presence. If they can put anything around him at all they wont be an automatic win for anybody.

I don’t think Satterfield’s scheme plays to his strengths.

This kids going to be a first round pick, no doubt. If he isn’t it’ll be due to being unlucky with injuries, bad Oline recruiting, or bad coaching

Both he and Lagway will go very high in that loaded 2027 draft.
