Eagles trade CJGJ

Eagles also paid Slay $66,000,000 over 5 years….
and $25,000,000 to Bradberry over 3 years.

The Eagles just won the Super Bowl.
I get it.
But there are all these narratives that just aren’t true.
The Cap doesn’t effect the Eagles:
The Eagles just lost 5 starters primarily because they couldn’t afford to bring them back because of the cap.
The Eagles will make big free agent moves:
The Eagles won the Super Bowl because they made cheap low cost (Brad) moves, drafted well (like Brad), and stayed healthy (unlike Brad’s Lions).
Baun ($1.1M vet. Min.), Becton ($1.9M), Barkley ($12.5M) were not the +$20M signings that many want Brad to do.
The Eagles are lead by home grown drafted players in Hurts, D. Smith, Mialata, Johnson, Dickerson, Jurgens, Goedert, Carter, Davis, Sweat, M. Williams, N.Smith, Dean, Blankenship, Mitchell, and DeJean (just like the Lions).
I doubt the Eagles would have won the Super Bowl if they had to play in the playoffs without Carter, Milt Williams, Sweat, Baun, Dean, and Quinyon.

Howie has done an amazing job building that roster and managing the cap.
But Brad is right on his heels and if the injury situation was reversed…

Learn how to read.

It states they don’t have to do it. Thats why cjgj is gone, and potentially slay.

They know with their pass rush, they have leverage on not spending going forward … IF they don’t want to.

Whether you like it or not, they won the SuperBowl.

Ummm… I think he was agreeing with you and echoing off your point.
