It’s hard to say. I think Glenn is coming into his own. I also think it’s easy to say keep Ben because of his aggressiveness, but I think that aggressiveness comes from Campbell. I don’t think that changes with Ben gone. I do think the relationship between a QB and his coordinator is pretty special so I’d give an edge to Ben.
I think Detroit will be just fine though if they both leave. Campbell is hands on with what he wants on both sides of the ball, and he’s not afraid to move on if he makes a mistake.
Let me get this straight. If the Bears lose because the 4th and long happens as it did, AND the bogus PI call doesn’t extend the drive to show the national embarrassment of clock management, then Eberflus keeps his job to coach another week? This feels like a SOL situation and I have some PTSD from Patricia or Morningweg at the moment
This we agree on and I said as much a few weeks back. I was talking about Ben though….i said the Lions will be fine on offense if they lost Ben because, to me, it’s Dans offense and this offense’s motion started once Dan took over play calling after demoting Anthony Lynn.
Part of it was the fact that it was clearly a cluster-fudge and Eberflus didn’t own up to it, which has been a pattern with him. He said everything went well on that last sequence.
And it was all set in motion by a horrible penalty call. No call no cluster-fudge of everything went well from Eberflus. In other words, the refs cost a man his job, surely not the first time.
