Ex-Falcons, Colts QB Ryan joins CBS as analyst

I’m sure he’ll be a middling ‘good’ analyst, but probably never elite.

What’s a CBS?
Got a Firestick a year ago. Forgot those existed.
Don’t miss them or the $160 a month.

I’d have taken him over Sudafed as a backup. But probably way more money in broadcasting than being a backup QB.

They should have announced this on 3-28.

So, he’ll be on the squad that does shitty games. In which, we are not anymore.

We’ll never see him.

He also isn’t officially “retired”, so he’s doing his CBS gig while getting paid $12 mil by the Colts this year.

I bet he calls a hell of a first half but trips all over his words in the 4th quarter.

General speaking my analysis of color commentators is as follows:

Pros:
Not Tony Romo

Cons:
Doesn’t matter bc he’s not Tony Romo

Not sure who is worse Romo or Aikman.

I forget what day it was last year but there were like two MNF games or something and the second one did not have Aikman and Buck for obvious reasons.

I forget who those two guys were, but I’d take them all day long. They were pretty good.

Romo is far worse than Aikman IMO

I find watching nfl games on mute to be best. No joke.

There is also the Manningcast to listen to.

This year they will have Monday Night double headers on 3 separate occasions.
