I’m just saying him being “near our locker room” doesn’t seem to have had much of a negative affect last time. He’s crazy and has to be managed, but being on a good team helps.
That said I wouldn’t add him either, he’s been more safety than nickel corner for a few years now.

I would bet there is zero chance CJGJ becomes a Lion. During the NFCCG, CJ was talking like he usually does all week about how he was going to get Deebo Samuel. During the game, CJGJ took an absolutely stupid personal foul penalty that extended one of SF’s drives, which was one of many other examples that the Lions were collapsing. You could see Dan’s look on the sidelines, he was furious because CJGJ took a moment in the biggest game of the season to make it all about him and getting even with someone. CJ was done as a Lion at that moment. You do not ever put yourself before the team with Dan Campbell.
If you look at why the Texans released CJGJ, Demeco said it was because CJGJ was complaining about teammates including the size of one’s contract, complained about his role and said he should be blitzing more, refused to take ownership of his own mistakes and then demanded a trade. Ryans said he let him go because it was best for the team. One of the players said “C.J, yeah, he had to go,” an anonymous Texans player told KPRC 2’s Aaron Wilson. “You have to embrace the team culture. If you can’t do that, you can’t be a part of this team. He obviously didn’t do that, so he’s gone. It was a lot.”
There is no way Dan Campbell brings a guy like that back to the locker room. The big debate with CJGJ was always accepting his personality and knowing that he was going to be a big mouth that also made big plays for you. Now his big plays are going against you, but his attitude is still in prime shape. No thanks.

Oh I don’t want him on the team either, and I highly doubt we’re ready for that ride again.
My main point is that he didn’t hurt the overall performance of the team when he was here - in fact it’s probably the best finish we’ve had to a season in the Super Bowl era. So the idea that him being around the team would have a negative effect is one I can’t buy into. We have a veteran roster who can handle him. The kind of “turds” we tend to avoid are the big-timers who take plays off and don’t have the same passion for the game. Not the guys who love football, work hard, but also happen to be a little bit crazy. I mean, Dan knew what we were getting ourselves into from their time together in New Orleans.
I just don’t think he offers us much anymore.
I honestly do not think Samuel is what we’re looking for in a CB.
I’m curious what is Emmanuel Moseley up to these days?
Cameron Suttons legal case was dismissed. Would we consider him…. I doubt it….. but he’s sitting out there too and he at least has some familiarity.
