Who do you like for football content? Who don’t you like?
My favorite is All_22_Films on YouTube. This is the guy who breaks down game film. He’s not entirely a homer – he’s a Ravens fan who took a shine to us in late '22 – but he’s definitely excited about our team. I do think this is the best way to evaluate players and plays, watching the film.
Our best local beat writer is Justin Rogers. It’s not even close. The man can write. This will be my only paid subscription.
Tom Grossi’s channel is hilarious. Yes, he’s a GB fan, but his stuff is superb.
I kind of like Mitch Milani at Bottom Line View. A Pats fan, his coverage of the whole league is quite thorough, even though it’s mostly reaction videos to the takes of other people. He’s entertaining.
I’m disenchanted with POD. Their takes are hacky.
I like Dery’s voice on Locked On Lions for quick takes, but his coverage is unoriginal.
The NFL network on XFM they has some really good guys breaking things down.
It is super interesting when legit football guys (Ex-coaches/players) break down plays and teams. They bring such a different take on some plays. While the beat writers are just parroting what they have been told no matter how good they do it.
I think Baldinger on NFL Network is not the same as the All_22_Films guy. The latter is a HS coach who runs a YouTube site focused first on the Ravens and second on the Lions.
FYI, I don’t have cable, so I think for me to catch any Baldy stuff I just have to find other people’s clips.
Same thing I’m hoping for for James Houston and lock up a spot on the roster. I really want that guy to shine so I can have that excitement from two years ago.
Anyway, since I’m on this site the most, I’ll just say The Den. It has been a nice hub for alternate content.
It’s not Baldy. I don’t know who it is, but he’s a Ravens fan. Baldy does breakdowns with all-22 films (usually called “Baldy’s Breakdowns”), but he’s not “All_22_Films”.
