Finally saw JETS game. 3 things -

  1. Jameson was wide ■■■■■■■ open, Mr. Goff just underthrew him.
  2. ARSB is freaky good. So is Penei.
  3. Shot of the fans in the stands. A sea of green, except for a Lions fan in a #81 jersey! Way to sport colors on the road. Love ya my brother.

Goff is still getting used to his speed. He’s throwing at Chark speed. Jamo is the fastest guy in the NFL.

agreed… and Goff having to move and reset caused him to throw it later than he wanted.

There was a point in the game where you could hear a “Lets go Li-ons” chant going.

Wait, Jamos is faster than Hill?

Not to mention that Jamo gets away with a push off at the end which makes his separation look tremendous just as the ball got there and after Goff let it fly. Jamo probably got a little boost and the DB definitely lost ground. I think too much is being made of him under throwing JW. They are going to be hitting some big bombs. Don’t worry.

Isn’t it though? Let’s forget the 9 things our QB does well and focus on him “getting exposed” by a rookie WR based on 2 deep balls…one that went for a TD. Some of these guys would find fault with Joe Montana, I swear.

Just what is so bad about saying your QB missed a throw ? Some as soon as you say Goff did something wrong you get post like this. The fact Jared did miss that throw and if any of you were honest the first one Jared threw that went for a TD was under thrown badly also, it was a broken play that Jamo was literally all by him self. It’s also true that Goff and Jamo hasn’t had much time together and there timing isn’t there yet. Saying he was exposed is a little over the top. But the original poster just stated he missed a wide open Jamo.

Lol Jamo definitely got away with a push off. 65-70% is considered an excellent completion percentage. No QB is completing every throw. All that matters is we got another W.

Because it’s not just mentioned, it’s harped on. There’s 3 things mentioned by the OP about the Jets game and his first one is the short throw. How about mentioning Wright’s wheels or Goff coming off of his original read to throw a perfect strike for the game winning TD? How about Houston getting his 5th sack in his 4th game? How about Raymond’s punt return? Instead, we choose to concentrate on a single under throw to a rookie wide receiver, playing in his third game. After a road win btw.

This is the truth right here, Jared didn’t have his best game against the Jets niether did the team, but what he did do is put together a really good drive when the game was on the line and won the game.

So he needs to think like you and not have his own thoughts ? And can only talk about the good. Rather you think so or not when you miss a play like that it’s very noticeable, just like the play you talked about great play and will stick in people’s heads just like a badly missed play. There just more noticeable. Goff is allowed to have some bad plays all QBs do, Goff is winning games and running this offense really well.

What is really sad is some of these people would find reasons why Stafford underthrew his recievers are the same ones bagging on Goff for underthrowing Jamo

Definition of a Goff slappie: Someone who credits their loved QB for coming off his read, when the play call went to the intended target.

Think I read that Williams/Goff have played total of 34 game snaps together so him missing that pass is low on my list of notable takeaways from the Jets game.

Overall, sure Goff has areas to improve on, I’m very happy with his performance and the intangibles he is showing.

You may want to review where the initial read was.
