Former Bronco rips Steelers QB Russell Wilson yet again: 'He's delusional'

You are exactly right. Also, Fields is just too careless with the ball. You can drill and drill all you want. Either someone gets it, and protects the ball, or they don’t. Tiki Barber got it. Many others have not.

Fields is another one of the guys that you just keep hoping and waiting for the light bulb to turn on, and every now and then he has a game or even a throw that makes you wonder if he is getting it. Then, you get the 4th quarter pumpkin party. He is a coach killer in that sense. A lot of people say “So what, just let him play his ball, it works.” That’s the thing. IF it worked, no one would stop him from playing it. Completing one random bomb out of 10 doesn’t work. Scrambling every play, doesn’t work, it’s why Fields is constantly injured. Other players you can survive getting hurt, but not your QB who runs the whole offense.

I think Fields is better than Wilson, and will take the job soon enough. He won’t be able to keep it though. Pittsburgh is going to have the same problem the 90’s Lions used to have. If you have 2 QB’s, you have zero. The first guy will falter, the next guy comes in the hero until he falters, and then everyone looks around and says “Now what?”.

The Steelers tried it with Kordell Stewart.

Russell got alot of credit for being on a really good team, he wasn’t near as good as his record showed and was always overrated in my book. And this is who he is without a stacked team.

Pete Carroll had a knack for making QB’s look much better than they actually were.

It will be interesting to see how Geno Smith does this year without him.

Classy.

I actually think that Geno Smith is a decent QB who was put in a bad situation with the Jets.

He’s was never going to be a top end starter but he’s in the Tannehill / Dalton / Carr tier of QBs.
