GM was making some great cars back then.
My personal favorite was the 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid I owned and brought down to Costa Rica. At low speeds it was a silent killer, like a luxury golf cart. No gas required. Above 20 mph it was gas-assisted. The beauty I had was black and loaded. Wish I never sold it, but parts for it are hard to find down here. Weird bit: cars down here keep the same license plate when you sell them. And the equivalent of the DMV here has an online database where you can look up the owner of a vehicle. So, I plan on finding the damn thing and buying it back soon, probably for more than I paid for it. Eff it. The one that got away.
