It’s literally Von Miller and Zadarius. Ojulari is still out there but he is extremely small for a DE, and much closer to what you want in a LB.
Available now, I’d say Ojulari, Zadarius, Calais. Slim pickens. But there are multiple trade options as well, I suspect. And the draft.
I would have included Dre’mont Jones too, but:
People were mentioning who could be a Baum
type this year. If Azeez ends up
Coming cheap, stays healthy and gets enough opportunity he’s a possibility. Not first team All Pro of course but something like 12 sacks wouldn’t be an impossibility. Though that probably would be in a Pitt style 3-4 system
Right, he’s probably my favorite of the options left (honestly surprised he hasn’t signed somewhere), but now that we’ve re-signed Barnes, where would we play him?
Hand in the dirt DPR. Tough sell though. But I think the pitch would be 1yr deal. We’ll let you go 110% in obvious pass rush downs by limiting your workload in terms of the early down dirty stuff.
Ultimately I can’t see how we win that recruitment though.
And honestly I wasn’t in love with him as our Sam as he’s a step back from Barnes in everything but rushing the passer.
I think getting Z back is our best shot.
Yep, that’s where I’m at too. Hopefully he’s not too mad about the $11M.
A DE group of Hutch, Z, Davenport, and a rookie would actually be pretty solid.
Yeah exactly. Maybe not league’s best but if they stay healthy really, really good.
I mean this guy’s definitely got a blood boy or something, right?
Another DE off the market
Quickly running out of edge options.
I thought Wise could have been on Brad’s radar.
This is who I ultimately think ends up coming here.
No trading for Cam Jordan I guess
Holland to Giants
Minny got Jon Allen & Hargrave at DT
Demarcus Lawrence to Seattle
Love Broncos getting TE Evan Engram great fit there
Wonder if he’d take a Levi contract? ![]()
Vikings added 4 players to the trenches and the Bears added 5. We’re standard-bearers in the North. If you want to beat us, you’ll need to win in the trenches.
Kwesi done a good job in free agency again
To me though both have merely gone from terrible to fine. They needed to - those groups weren’t good enough last year - but I wouldn’t call them strengths now either.
