Fun facts?

I decided to look at this as a couple of fun facts instead of a depressing look at the last 3 decades of Lions futility.

The 2023 Detroit Lions are tied with the 2011 Detroit Lions for the best record after 6 games in the last 30 years. (Also, our 6th game didn’t end with our coach throwing a fit about a post game handshake this year).

And now for the funnest fact of all: If the Lions, on October 16th, didn’t win a game for the rest of the season, they’d finish with the same or better record than 13 of the past 30 Lions’ teams. If they win next week, bump it up to 16. And if they beat the Raiders on October 30th, the Lions would finish the month with the same or more wins than 19 of the last 30 Lions’ teams.

Yes, if the Lions win out in October, their record would be equal to or better than two-thirds of the past 3 decades of Lions’ teams at the end of the season. It boggles the mind.

I could never imagine Dan Campbell chasing another coach around the field because he shook his hand too hard.

That was so cringey

I can imagine a DC handshake is similar to an alligator bite.

The Harbaugh back slap and shove?

Dan Campbell is a mature man. Schwartz was a bit immature. It also showed up on the field with how many immature penalties Schwartz’s teams had.

I remember getting a bad feeling about Schwartz when an article after we hired him quoted him talking about his ankle tattoo

What kind of dude gets an ankle tattoo? Add in the frosted tip hairdo and it’s a recipe for cringe

Where did my life go?

I remember he use to post his play list for his ride to the stadium on game day!

He did have good taste in music tho

Harbaugh is a big, strong guy…but not compared to Coach Dan. He wouldn’t do that to coach Dan. Coach Dan doesn’t have to “hold a Detroit card” or being worried about losing one…he ISSUES Detroit cards, and what it takes to get one.
He IS the standard to which all others shall be compared/try to achieve.

…& fake. It was like those NBA “fights” where you can tell they are both afraid to fight but wanting to be perceived as a hardass. Jim Shorts was a poser

Speaking of Jim Shorts his defense looks pretty good in Cleveland
