Kenny is not available at the moment for comment, he is too busy kicking his agent’s ass in a desperate attempt to not think about his own greed costing him real cash money. Tweet that, buddy.
Thought this part was also interesting…
“His hip will likely be examined, and he’ll potentially have to answer for why he missed so much time in 2020 with the Lions.”
I realize it’s speculation on the writers part, but it almost sounds like more than Lions fans know he may have been dogging it.
Video re Golladay’s visit to NYG
Out of all those catches they show in the video, there is ONE where his stays on his feet.
Kenny Golladay’s free agency is not going as well as hoped for the WR
In fact, Golladay is already showing signs of desperation. On Wednesday night, reports came out that the receiver himself asked the Cincinnati Bengals for a one-year, “prove it” kind of deal.
So what happened?
Golladay is the victim of an oversaturated wide receiver market with far more supply than demand. That’s true in free agency but especially true when the deep, loaded NFL draft class is factored in. Golladay carries the advantage of being a fairly unique type of receiver, but the premium demand just isn’t there for a player like him coming off an injury that limited No. 19 to just five games last season.
While he still could land a healthy contract, Golladay’s inability to instantly cash in as a free agent validates the Lions’ decision to not use the franchise tag on the standout receiver in a “tag-and-trade” scenario. The market clearly isn’t there for Golladay at $15.8 million for 2021. Based off some of the other free agent contracts of comparable-level wide receivers (Curtis Samuel, Corey Davis), Golladay isn’t going to get that kind of compensation, either for one year or long-term.
It’s terribly unfortunate for Golladay that the market dynamics and his own dynamics (health, regime change) have not gone his way since he turned down a significant offer last offseason. That money just isn’t there for Golladay anymore, not in Detroit or anywhere else, it seems.
This sh*t will ‘cost you’
I know there were a few posters on here railing the front office for not tagging and trading him - hopefully they can see why that would not have been a prudent strategy. It feels like we actually, maybe for the first time ever, have a front office who may just have an idea what they are doing. One can hope.
Cmon Kenny - blow them away!!
Makes me think of the scene in Jerry Maguire where he tells him you take a risk of getting hurt and getting nothing.
This is the risk KG and his agent took when they turned down the lions offer, he made his choice and now he has to live with it. The wealth of WR talent in the draft is hurting him just as much in my opinion and his agent should have seen this coming
KG is still unsigned? Wow
He’s currently trying to bribe the Giants team doctors to pass him on his physical!

The Kenny Golladay Summit will take place today, as @JosinaAnderson reported. The free agent receiver is due in this afternoon and is expected to meet with Joe Judge, GM Dave Gettleman, et. al. throughout the afternoon and night.

Kenny Golladay will have to get a rapid COVID test before he’s even allowed to enter the Giants’ facility. Assuming it’s negative, his first meetings will take place shortly after that. His physical will be at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan.
Best of luck to him.
This all true? Starting to remind me of the LeVeon Bell situation. I always thought Golladay was so humble. The diva side comes out. I dont like it.
Lions’ free-agent WR Kenny Golladay spent Wednesday night meeting with Bears GM Ryan Pace and HC Matt Nagy, per source. He is scheduled to be in New York tonight to meet with the Giants.
I’m hoping Chicago lands him. Fingers crossed.
Sign and trade KG to Bears for A-Rob?
All these in person meetings and whatnot gotta be his medical issues right? Doesnt seem like many other free agents are doing this.
Yes, it’s all injury related. Players don’t take visits anymore, especially with this flu bug going around. It seems pretty clear that his hip isn’t 100% healthy yet. Otherwise, he’d already be signed.
Also just saw Will Fuller got a 1 year deal for 10 mill for the Dolphins. It’s looking more and more like Kenny is going to have to take a short term prove it deal.
Golladay is starting to sound like he just wants his first big payday and then he is done. Probably a good thing we are moving on. Might be all downhill from here with him.
Here’s a twist to the free-agent WRs: the Ravens have reached out to Kenny Golladay’s agent, Todd France, to inquire about the former Lions’ wideout.
