Good luck on Saturday!

Unlike everyone else here, i have to go to a sports bar every time we play. We dont get the lions games around here! With that being said, we are 4-0 when i go to the sports bar and watch them play. Lets make it 5-0 this weekend.

This is the first time I haven’t regretted paying for Sunday Ticket (student pricing). Typically by week 5 in the Lions season I’ve regretted it.

Im definitely going to invest in it next year. Im hoping to also head to Detroit for my first lions game.

Hoping Youtube gets the contract next year.

I believe YouTube officially has nfl Sunday ticket starting next year.

I just read that YouTube did get it. However if they are going to charge $300-400 it will be too expensive and I will watch games using other methods.

Haha, I joined the den back in the late 90’s and Boyd was my favorite player at the time, mostly because I was a linebacker too… I wore #57 in HS and switched my number in college to #59 to honor Reggie Brown who snapped his neck and almost died on the field! Brown had so much potential. 2 TD’s in 1997 on pick 6’s. What could have been!?

I actually completely lost the den for at least 10-15 years somewhere in the middle, but glad to find it again the past couple years and will never change my username.

@Nate - What year did you start this whole thing!? Great memories.

That was when madden was good. Boyd was definitely a good player but porcher was my all time favorite-after herman and barry

For sure, Porcher is a Lions legend, also loved Luther Ellis! If only he stayed healthy longer.

Met both Barry and Herman at training camp back in the SVS days, good dudes.

I think I stumbled upon the original iteration of the Den back in 1999. I think it was called LionFans back then, but Nate had to change the name due to copyright issues with the NFL. At one point, I think it was called the Roar Report.

Anyway, my best guess is the original Den started in about 1998.

That all sounds familiar, but I feel like it started even sooner in like 1996/97… god my memory sucks these days. Too many hits in the head and beers I guess.

Very close to lions game against sandiego chargers on Christmas day , that was a huge win to reach playoffs

I always watch it at a Sports Bar. Happily it’s a three minute walk from my house

Yep.

So now you have to have a YouTube account + either have YouTube Prime or pay for the Sunday Ticket Add On.

For Thursday Night games we have to have a Prime account.

How long before everything else gets paired out to various streaming services.

Monday Night Game, gotta get ESPN+
Sunday Night Game, gotta get Hulu

Playoffs you have to get Fox and CBS special services

Super Bowl will be PPV.

I went to a couple of their practices there. How many years did they have their practices there and what years?

Yea the Bobby Ross days, met him too, got his autograph, and then he quit mid season, lol

SVS training camps were so fun though, I remember when we drafted Claiborne 9th overall, and I just couldn’t believe how big he was at camp, he was bigger than some of the D-ends.
