Yep

I interviewed students at Auburn University for Co-Op positions. Auburn and Clemson were the 2 schools we chose to form co-op relations with. That was my former employer. I just blow things up now.

Also, if you have ever been to Huntsville…especially in the past 10 years, feel free to reply here.

Also curious to see how that goes.

I’ve traveled nationally/Canada for 20+ years, Alabama was one of my favorites. When I’m asked what cities areas do I miss as was traveling nationally anymore Alabama is always in the top five.
Great food scene

Edit: Yes I have been to Huntsville, been about ten years now but worked with several architects there. I don’t know it as well as Birmingham or Montgomery but I know it is busy from a construction standpoint.

Last time I was in Alabama, I got in a car wreck (highway). All I know was the cops and hospital folks were trying to get us out of there as soon as possible to continue our trip farther North. Instead of asking “how much did you have to drink last night.”

Visited a highschool girlfriends family and started to pick up the accent… knew i had to get the hell out

Passed through it on one of my sojourns …. Got a geocache

Oh and this!

Ever wonder why Alabama had no cases of covid?

Do you think these guys went to the Doctor?

Hey now, let’s not talk about the stigmatism® of an Alabama education.

The really funny thing is how many people still wear face masks down here. I’m like. You know that’s stupid right? Well, I guess you’re not hurting anyone. So carry on…

I’ve never been to Alabama.

I zoom often with a friend who grew up there in impoverished, rural-hills, white trash culture. He moved to many other states since he joined the navy, while his extended family all stayed there. He’s a consummate story teller and retains the southern accent and laidback charm that I associate with Alabama. It’s far from all we talk about, yet there’s a lot of Alabama threads to follow when among other things your mom was a professional wrestler, who occasionally beat up men and who went back to pick cotton in the afternoon after birthing him at noon.

So I feel like I know Alabama as well as Neil Young does.

Yeah I was trying to clip the original gif, and it apparently was embedded with the other part of it so I grabbed a different gif.
