Just trying to survive until the stupid, ■■■■■■■ insurance company will approve the mri so that I can (most likely) get surgery to fix it.
I was told if i lose control of my bowels they’ll rush me in to surgery but im not willing to shit my pants just yet…but don’t think I haven’t considered it.
Bend your knee! It removes pressure off the sciatica nerve.
Been dealing with the same issue since 2011 and have tried everything. Pillow under the knee when you sleep/recliner will change your life forever @snags.
Felt lower back pain while weed eating my yard. Didn’t think too much of it at first, but by day 3/4 the pain had radiated down my right leg and into my foot. Doctor visit and a MRI told me it was a bulging disc (C7?) that was inflaming my sciatica. 2 options: surgery or rehab
Never blockers and stretching (physical therapist) helped relieve the sciatica down the leg. But the bulging disc still put significant pressure on my lower back when I slept. Any position where my legs remain straight causes pressure and discomfort.
I started using a thick pillow under my right knee when I sleep, and it was a game changer. It’s instant relief off of that pressure point causing the sciatica pain. I will sleep this way the rest of my life unless I choose to have surgery (which has a possibility to cause other issues in your spine).
You’ll figure out quickly what position relieves the pain/discomfort. Good luck @Snags
