We have the #6 ranked offense. The Eagles are #5. Look at their stats. Look at ours.
Look at all of the personnel losses the offense has suffered, and, we are still #6, and there are some really good teams behind us.
Obviously it’s all McVey
That’s what happened when teams are beating you and you have to play catch up in the 4th quarter
Awsome comment!
That explains why the worst teams in the league have the best offenses
I’ve heard this theory.
You remember the Giants game a couple days ago? Yeah, we were winning, wire to wire, and still put up 31 points.
Fact is, in our high scoring games we were going toe to toe, punch for punch, and came up short. We were only severely behind in the Patriots and Cowboys games, and we never made a contest of those games.
Theory fail.
The Browns, anyone?
So, what games were we out of and made a comeback?
In abstract it’s an interesting theory. But what are the data points? How many possessions over average have the Lions had? How does that correlate to the score? Since the data point is yardage, how much more yardage is gained in the 4th vs the other quarters?
Without investigating all of that, it’s just conjecture
At one point we were down 31-14 to the eagles in the season opener.
Why did the Eagles score so many points? They weren’t playing from behind. As a matter of fact, they had to score again to win.
It helps to have a very good offensive line.
Would love to see ours someday become that.
You don’t think our line is good?
It was nice getting some love for our Oline from Greg Olsen. He should know what good line play looks like.
Good, yes. Nothing compared to the Paper Lions, though.
What a great team.
Is this sarcasm?
Let me put it this way, the Oline is as good as 4/5ths of an Oline can be with 2/5ths playing injured.
With a all world rookie
The offense could be 3 or higher
You don’t really think Skipper is as good as Vatai, or Stenberg, or Kramer?
Rags and Decker have been on the injury report for over a month.
