How many good defensive players do we have?

Healthy?
Tavai, Walker…is Coleman healthy this week. Pretty sure Slay is playing injured.
That’s about it, but, they look great on paper.

Slay good
Snacks ok
Flowers ok
Coleman ok
Kennard ok

Now we see why we suck on the defense of side of the ball.

No one is great. We need play makers. That’s why I was against a te in round one

I would love Snacks and Hand, and A’Shawn , and Davis , and Slay , and our better players to stay healthy THEN we can refine the defense all around them…but you don’t help if you aren’t playing. Flowers is starting to come around, Coleman is Slay-Light , but we need to fortify the defense with more playmakers IMO so we always have a few defensive guys that flat gets the job done IF/WHEN there is an injury.

we can’t can’t keep shuffling in 3rd-level depth guys and hope to not get owned.
and either you put Patricia ad full-time DC and get rid of the DC that is there “in name only” Paul P OR get off your ass and get a solid DC !!!

Trey was hurt his first couple of games. He has 4 sacks in the last 5 games. In all honesty i think we have good defenders. they just arent being put in the right spot. PP does not have a good defensive plan. The first 4 or 5 games analyst had the lions as one of the best teams in the NFC. had we not gotten robbed int e the packers game and posibly the cheifs game it would be a competely different story. Ever since those 2 games the D has nose dived.

What bothers me most about this defense is when they asked Trey what was the most different thing about New England and here he said he doesn’t move around as much.

That killed me because it matches with what we see. We know our defense is bad yet we keep rolling with the same concepts and they are getting gashed worse and worse as the season progresses.

I agree. I think that falls on PP. It falls on MP as well because he is the top dog and should be doing what he has to to correct it. It bothers me as well Im with you on this one.
