Lions only had 10 pressures and 0 sacks while blitzing almost every down.

Philly had 3 sacks and nearly 20 pressures with almost never blitzing

Difference is Washington was ready for us to blitz. Go back and watch that 1st half, Daniels was getting rid of the ball so fast. They knew we were attacking and they schemed up short, quick passes to counter it. We had no answer.

While I expect better luck in general next year I do think we need to be prepared for OL injuries. Felt like we were fairly healthy in that regard last year.

Just read this forum. How much did injuries hurt the Lions? Enough that we didnt have the horses on D to even beat the 6 seed in the playoffs. Zero chance at that Lombardi trophy after years of swmming in the gutter. It hurts a lot. But they gave us one hell of a season and we can realisically still have high hopes.

The injury’s was huge, to me it’s what kept other teams in it. We lost players every week starters and then there back ups until we brought guys in off the street. And we went 15-2 in the process , I find the season to be disappointing but amazing at the same time. I’ve been watching for 50 years and never have I seen this many injuries to one team and then they win 15 games. Alot of good this season even with the disappointing ending

It was an amazing season. It sucks that we played a bad game when it mattered the most. That shit happens. But it was still an amazing season.
