Ha, that was truly awful. Ladies’ tennis isn’t too bad. At least there are some volleys instead of endless aces. Of course, tennis is really f-ing boring too.

I remember back in the late 90’s, at a corporate event. Sitting at a table with our female HR manager, who I got along well with. I told her and an efeminate dude sittig with us, I thought I could play on a PAC 10 college girls basketball team and start. One got offened and the other one said no way I could. They had never seen me play ball mind you. I was pretty good and in great shape then. I played ball at least twice a week in big pick up games. So, the girl power vibe was in the culture, even way back then.

Disagree here. One sided matches are boring, but those matches that are set point after set point and match point after match point are thrilling. Tons of pressure on two exhausted athletes.
Volleyball is way more fun to watch.
