Maybe because you know it’s not a career ender. Something most players get, but it’s just opportune time to drop their seed. I don’t think we would be laughing about a brain bleed or injury like Hutch’s.

I think the organization did make an impression on Teddy but it is a unique situation.
Teddy is here because the Lions have 2 young QB’S in the room and are about to make a run for the Super Bowl.
They need an experienced vet and he knows the system.
Teddy wouldn’t be able to walk into Philly and be competent in their system for weeks.
I think Teddy is already competent in the Lions system and just has to learn the new stuff and shake the rust off.
If the Lions lock up the #1 seed Monday night, I would’ve be surprised to see Hooker and Teddy get most of the reps against Minnesota.
Teddy’s here because underneath the charming smile and big hair, he’s a dog. He’s a football-loving hyper-competitive leader of men. Cut from the same cloth as Dan Campbell, from a passion sense. He most likely will never see the field but he’s worth a spot on the 53 for everything else he brings.
