Just a few tests and apparently he’s in the clear for the offseason program. Remains to be seen if they’ll ask him to go full out right away, prolly not, but sounds like he’s ready to roll and will be 100% come September.

Now it’s getting back into game shape and mentally overcoming the injury… I have confidence he’ll be back to himself by the start of the season.

While I do agree I hope that people bake into expectations that his number last year were inflated via a weird fluke of always playing backup RTs. In reality he’s closer to a 12-14 sack per year guy than the historic pace he was putting up.

I say he’s a threat to beat the Strahan/Watt record of 22.5, and then Bubba Baker’s 23 for the cherry on top. So, 23.5 is my guess for 2025.

So if he’s say Danielle Hunter as a pass rusher that’s problematic?
I’m just trying to get ahead of the hysteria about him not being himself post injury if his sack total declined precipitously. IMO there were some extenuating circumstances in the early part of last season. But credit to Aiden for killing guys that he should kill.

He’s definitely a cut above Hunter, he’s a top 5 pass rusher in the NFL. I really don’t expect a drop off from him, he had a gnarly injury in college too, but came back stronger.

Jk seriously nothing wrong with 12-14 sacks. That’s where I think he lands, along with a great overall pressure and hurry rate.

Maybe it’s 14-16 sacks per year, but either way I do think there was some production inflation based off of who he was being blocked by early last year.

Don’t forget about the backlash that those fans will crucify Holmes for extending Aiden on a record deal before he plays out this season. It’s like it’s all too predictable.
