Hutch proving he was the pick

Didn’t realize that Purdue kid is doing so well. Shouldn’t be though, after watching a few of games there.

He’s been terrific, 7 sacks, 13 QB hits, 2 interceptions, 1 fumble recovery, DROTY!

Still got 4 games left, be nice to hit 10 sacks. Gotta make sure Houston doesn’t catch him, haha

I banged the table for Kayvon Thibodeaux all off-season.

It never felt so good, being so wrong.

Aiden was the right pick.

Sauce Gardner has been amazing as well.

Sauce has the same interceptions as Aiden.

Right there with you! I was jumping up and down for Jordan Davis. I wanted the big anchor in the middle. Funny, many teams passed on him! What the hell do I know??

Never so happy to be so wrong!

I wanted Hutch pretty much from the beginning because I thought he had a little JJ Watt mixed with TJ Watt. I laughed at whichever former player said he’d never beat an NFL tackle. I was pretty much like GTF out of here dude. Glad it’s turned out well so far.

Love the production … but didn’t we just read that he has a ton more snaps than the next rookie defender?

Maybe that’s because he is that much better……

That isn’t my point.

Sauce has the most PBU in the NFL so he’s having an awesome season as well. Figure he will get DROY since he plays in NY.

Yea this is the tricky situation with evaluating the rookies. Obviously Hutch is good enough on the Lions to be playing all these snaps and thus more opportunities to rack up the stats. I am not sure what the situation is with the other DE rooks on their teams. I think Thibs should be getting as many reps on a team like the Giants, I think he is the starting DE (him and Williams?).

But I get it, just look at Anzalone, he has what 100 tackles but plays every defensive snap (like 850) compared to Rodrigo, but I think Rodrigo has a better tackle to snap ratio.

Just glad Hutch is producing and should get better next year

Ditto

He’s not a bust, that’s for sure. He works hard, which is a good sign for his future.

The next step is pairing him with a much better DT on rush downs. Then, things could get interesting.

Honestly, perhaps they both turn out to be good. I wanted Thibs and still think he will have the better career. Hutch is a stud too though.

He should be discredited for being on the field so much ?

You all know how division works, right?

Yep I do , but playing all them snaps is a plus. Not a knock on his production.

We’ve got the guy with the most producton, and we also have the guy with the most production per play.

That would be James Houston.
