I feel we can build 2 groups this season with solid keepers

I think are TE gore is sound an really are OL is close i would like to add a quality RT an couple young to grow . Not a lot of work needed.

WR I think we can add one in draft an one from UDFA along with what he had added. if one or two we added along with draft pick we can complete the core next year.

The Two I want to complete this season would be secondary mainly Safety an LB.

We could get lucky an find DL an RB depth in UDFA or even few more FA signings.

I think if we can go into next years draft an FA time with just couple of core groups needing major work we should be a very very much improved team. We will have cap to add few studs in FA an sign players who earned extensions . plus we have couple rd one picks an other picks to put final players where needed .

My two for this year would be secondary an LB an finish off the OL

  • Ton of 1 year deals
  • Future Compensatory picks? (Macho Man Randy Savage voice…“Oh Yeaaahh!”)
  • 2 1rst rd. picks in '22 and '23
  • Dead money piled up in '21
  • Abundant cap space in the near future

This season is gonna feel like a “try out” for all positional groups. You sink or swim in 2021 if you’re on this Detroit Lions roster. Very few players will be un-moveable next year. The whole team is gonna look completely different by fall of 2023.

If it’s only two groups this year, then mine would be O-line and LB.

  • nothing else works…if the O-line ain’t working. Period.
  • Jamie Collins and who? This group has the least talent of any on the roster.
