If Minny and GB were to lose were to lose Sunday

If we played BUF this week I’d rest those who are banged up. Unfortunately we play GB and this is a game we need to win.

Let’s just go ahead and win them all

Not really. We have a 2 game lead on em. I think Miami is gonna beat em tonight. They’re at full strength while GB is without Doubs.

Yeah but Tua’s like 0-10 in sub-40 temps.

Until today.

Yeah, but tie breakers could come into play. For Division tie breakers the won / loss percentage for Division games is the 2nd tie breaker. The Lions and Vikings have each beat Green Bay once already. If we lose to the Packers and the Vikings beat the Packers in their second match-up the Vikings could very well own the tie breaker over us.

And of course it would also give us another Conference loss, which again could come into play for a tie breaker against the Eagles.

Too convoluted. We have zero control over what other teams do. As of today, a loss to GB next week won’t hurt us.

But this is the oldest Tua has ever been for a sub 50 game!

Green Bay is the only game we can’t afford to lose – Philly could win out and take the #1 seed on the Common Opponent tiebreaker. Any other game, we still control our destiny.

oldest… and possibly coldest….

Plus… It isn’t just Tua.

The WRs are going to be trying to keep their hands in their little fanny pack warmers…. and we’ll see how well the defense tackles when they are cold and being hugged by the Packers O-line.

Including the super bowl :smiley::smiley::smiley:

GB won and they’re closing in us.

Hopefully we can hold them off.

Beating GB is the only thing that matters right now. Dropping them to 4 losses is essentially knocking them out of the division title. MN and GB play each other in week 17, so one of those teams will have another loss. The Lions losing to Buffalo would be very inconsequential if they beat GB in the grand scheme. But there is a lot of other scenarios as it plays out that can happen. But I think the Vikings are winning through week 17.

Stil enjoying the victory yesterday and will continue to do so until the game against the Packers next Thursday. To recap how glorious this is:

1.) Lions show they’re clearly better than the Bears and are dominating until injuries decimated the defense in the 2nd half.
2.) Offense didn’t have their best game (lack of redzone conversions, penalties, debatable 2nd half play calling).
3.) Chicago needed everything to go right just to get back into the game (and it did).
4.) Lions held when they had to after a brutal 2nd half - yeah, Chicago wet the bed, but it should have never come down that (questionable PI on Vildor)
5.) Rooting for the Ravens and Cardinals on Sunday. Cardinals are Jekyl and Hyde - they can beat the Vikings, just depends on what team shows up. I have full confidence in Lamar and the Ravens.
6.) Finally, we will get some of the injured guys back eventually. There will be some bumps and bruises (pun intended) until then, but it’ll be OK. Get the cheese grader hats ready for Thursday

That’ll be a tough ask. They have 3 at home (Cardinals, Falcons, Bears) and then at Seahawks. 3 of those 4 teams are battling for playoff spots. 3-1 (that’s my top guess) or 2-2 (2nd best guess) is more likely in my opinion.

No I’m with you today sober and it still makes sense:)

It would be great if the Eagles and Minny would lose some we could take a game off and just get guys rested and healthy. Those guys are nipping at our heels so bad and they have easier schedules too.
