I think Ben realizes that taking the wrong job will ruin your future chances.
Chicago has hired a bunch of “hot shot”, first timers, who failed. It’s always the HC that was the problem.
Except, it’s not necessary the HC’s that were the problem. They just get the blame.
And, you know, the HC’s aren’t the problem in Dallas.
AG’s age makes him more likely to chance taking a ride on the dragon.
Ben has time to apply for the job he wants.
I agree, Poles is the common denominator. I wonder what happens if they hire Pete Carrol? Does Poles stay?
Exactly! Carrol or Vrabel are the ones Poles has to worry about setting stipulations. They’re not rookies.
Well exactly what I said is what’s happening.
the bears are idiots
Well, you aren’t wrong on the Bears being idiots. This is an attempt for Ben to reveal inner workings of the Lions front office. Not anything impacting Detroit just an effort by the Bears to learn where they need to make changes.
Change one Fire K Warren
Change two sell the team

Ben is gonna go in there and give them a bunch of false intel, with no intention of accepting the job…the bears will take their now “gold,” employ it, and get ready for the next rebuild (after drafting the next #1OA QB, of course.

Screw that noise. I want the Bears to suffer in suckage for as long as possible. I know you’re speaking the truth of what needs to be done but I prefer it doesn’t happen for a good long while.
I know the famous FTP, but FTB and FTV sounds similar and applies just as much!!
the bears are idiots
Yes, yes they are and I’m very grateful for that fact. Keep on keepin’ on Bears - we all appreciate it so much.
This is also revealing they have no leadership, LOL.
I think it’s interesting when they say he doesn’t interview well. Anyone ever stop and consider its because he isn’t interested in the job so he doesn’t exactly exert a lot of effort? Ben’s a smart guy, he knows how to behave and conduct himself he knows what HE is looking for in an org and he can tell pretty quickly if they have it.
His biggest problem will be finding anything that resembles the leadership team he currently has, so he may be back again for a few more years. Anyone who doubts his ability to be a head coach is mistaken, he just knows that there are many variables to a HCs success and he’s smart enough to not set himself up for failure (see Jacksonville job). He’s not going to take a HC job just because it’s a HC job.
