I hope you don’t troll me🤣,it’s cricket
Referring to your midweek sexcapades before game day?
You nailed it , my games are on weekends, sex only in mid week, strictly no sex in week ends, no compromise when it comes to game day @stephenboyd57
Not going political here, but this may be related to immigration trends.
I wish. I’ve got 2 very young children…she’s still afraid of even sitting in the same chair I occupied recently.
Honestly that’s awesome. I tried to play some cricket in Australia… I was made a fool real quick. Baseball swings and cricket don’t work at all
The rules keep getting dumber, I’ll say that much. I’m waiting on the flaming hula hoops.

There are similarities, now cricket is short version like baseball
So you live in India or something!? Those guys are amazing at cricket

So you play in Detroit cricket league?
And what is your favorite sports movie? Lagaan?
NO.
The quality of football today is exponentially greater than 30 years ago. Highschool kids have their practice video cut up by their position coaches and sent to their phones/tablets to watch. Not every high school does this but it’s just one example of the levels of teaching in todays game.
I played 10 years of football in the late 80’s through late 90’s. Played for one of the winningest HS coaches in US history. I was taught the game at a significantly higher level than most other HS players (very fortunate). And as I watch the game of football today it is sometimes unrecognizable from the game I used to play.
It’s so much cleaner (better tackling form, better footwork, leverage, hand placement, etc.)
I couldn’t disagree with the OP more. The quality in today’s game, from HS to NFL, is lightyears ahead of where it was 20-30 years ago. Sometimes I feel I’m not watching the same game.

That actually makes a lot of sense.
Cheers bud!

I think it has a lot to do with college QBs. And how most colleges are running the Gimmicky either
Read run/pass option. (Mobile QBs)
Or the super spread offense. Because the hash marks are further apart. The far side Wrs can be super spread out and over loaded. Making reading “easier”
Think LSU with Daniels or Tennessee with Hooker.
Those two systems are ELITE in college. But dont work too well in the NFL.
Everyone loves Hurts, Allen, Mahomes and Jackson. But when did they have their most successful seasons? When they had almost career low rushing attempts.
Also with the transfer portal. NO qb stays at a school long enough to really develop. We talk about how NFL qbs struggle when they have a new OC or HC every year. College kids now are doing that to themselves.
Virtually all the too 10 Heismen candidates have already transferred at least once.
Last year prime example.
Gabriel 3 schools
Ward 3 schools
I mean just look at the qbs in the recent draft classes.
2025 too early to tell, but no one has WOWs yet
2024 class had its moments but most regressed and still too early to get a good grasp. None are currently top10
2023 stroud is the best of the list so far but hard to judge with a horrible OL and dead WRs. Borderline top 10.
2022 Purdy mr Irrelevant top 10???
2021 Mac Jones and Trevor Lawrence look ok.
So in 5 classes since covid.
2 borderline top 10 guys. 2 decent qbs. The rest is trash or too early to tell.
But the NFL isn’t struggling at ALL it the only major sport thats actually GAINING viewership each year over the past 10 years.
I follow Nebraska football and over the last 20 years it does seem the quality of football has gone down for us maybe not so much for our opponents. We would outscore our basketball team every week and we had 7 or 8 NFL O Lineman on every team. Now we get our ass kicked every week by FBS schools and we get outscored by the girls volleyball team. I agree this sucks!
While my enjoyment in Detroit Lions football has exponentially expanded like nothing I could’ve ever imagined over the last 3 seasons, my enjoyment of all other football has cratered to almost nothing. Likely not a quality of football thing, as more my age. But I’m willing to listen to arguments for and against.
What I am seeing is a more pronounced difference in teams.
Also I kind of question the narrative that QB play is down. As I think the league has put so much on the plate of the WB now verses 20-30 years ago. The amount of passing and in game adjustments by the QB and teams is insane. Would be interesting to see the win spread by the top 10 teams and bottom 10 teams in the league over the last 30 years to see if there as been a real trend of separation be tween the good and bad teams.
Also today you see it all. Every team, every game, so once again the amount of football we see has exploded.
It is easy to watch 5 full games a week and hence see 10 teams. Where as years ago it was Sunday maybe 2 games and Monday night.
I typically only watch Thursday if it is an interesting game to me and the one game I tend to watch besides the Lions is Sunday night. Monday night is now only if I find the teams or game interesting.
So there are a ton of factors to this discussion. Would need to do some deep dive into some data. It is funny how our emotions and mental state can really screw our perception of what we are seeing.
So it seems while the close games are close the gulf between the best and the rest has increased per the googles:
So you play in Detroit cricket league?
And what is your favorite sports movie? Lagaan?
Yes dcl ,micha etc

Did you happen to bring any rasgullas with you?

Id say it’s as popular as its ever been, especially outside the US. NFL is all over the TV here now.
