After all, I’m having steak Taco’s.
And, how is it?
It’s very good, I’m lucky it hung in there. Found some others that need to go soon as well, the last move left a few things scattered. Had a 2014 Sterling Pinot Noir last week that was excellent as well, not sure what’s next on the hit list. And the taco’s are hitting the spot.
I love a good Lambrusco, myself.
Of course, it’s White Moscato with fish.
She will only eat fish that has had a coating pre-applied, she hates the smell. I make salmon in the air fryer when she’s not going to be home for a few hours and clean up post haste. Leaving for Cancun Saturday, my favorite place for red snapper and grouper that I visit regularly.
OK, next man up, hope it’s still good. 2011 Markham Merlot.
Have you tried tile fish? Had it for the first time earlier this year - really good. They might have it Cancun.
Can’t say that I’ve ever seen it on a menu, what would you compare it to taste like?
To me it tasted like a good grouper, just a little firmer. They only get it in winter months here in Fla, and my local seafood guy urged me to try it. Now I can’t stay away from it.
Come with spacers separating the filets, or were they snap and lock?
I thought they looked great on the backsplash, but my wife made me take them down.
That was funny.
Just got a “steal” on a six pack of Don Melchor. Only a 2020 though so I’ll need to cellar it for quite a while.
Looking at getting back into my red’s, my new grill. New to me, a buddy of mine passed and his brother gave it to me for helping with his estate. Cleanup was a bitch, Keith was a physicians assistant but he hadn’t cleaned this thing probably since he bought it.
MHP Grill…
Sweet. That was more of a splurge. Distributor trying to move inventory so I took advantage. Haven’t been drinking much so I can climb the ladder a bit. Though per my palate the difference between $15 (wholesale) well spent and $50 isn’t generally worth it. I just happen to love that particular wine. It’s my favorite Chilean Cab and it kicks the shit out of Napa Cabs in that price range IMO.
I’m down to @ 36 assorted reds. went looking to see if I had any Chileans left but they’re gone. Got a great deal on some years back and can’t even remember the name now. Que sera sera. Did find some St Francis Zin’s that I really like though, 2018’s so probably better than when I had one of those 3 years ago. When I was in Mendoza of course it was about the Malbec’s, but I tried several Cab’s from a local grocery store that were killer. Trying to get back down there again, it’s well worth the trip. Just signed up for an AAdvantage Mastercard, 70,000 miles with no minimum purchase. That’s enough for a shitty flight to either Buenos Aires or Santiago. Regional round trip to and from Mendoza is about $125. Great VRBO’s down there and the food is outstanding. Cheers.
Ripple was probably my favorite back then.
