I’ll be cautious in my optimism
He may not be the player he was … :person_shrugging:

But man, if he can be effective and CJGJ comes back effective… the Lions could make a run

Gibbs and Jamo are hitting their stride at the right time as well, which is huge.

Hit me, this can’t be reality…

Trust me, man…we’re nowhere near either of their ceilings.

I agree.

I have a feeling that we will get a glimpse of what that ceiling looks like this Saturday night.

Very little chance he plays this week.

But get him out there vs the Vikes in the finale to test out the ankle.

Would be a huge boost for the playoff pass rush.

Blocking Houston when Ford Field is crazy loud and offensive tackles can’t hear is an issue.

Think back to last season of his 8 sacks how many were at home?

The answer 7 of the 8.

Bring 'em back vs the Vikes, don’t want to show our hand too early vs a potential playoff opponent.

Get Houston and Ceede contact snaps to knock the rust off against the Cowboys, then work them in situtationally against the Vikes.

I’d place more weight on the value of giving them a chance to knock off some rust in real game play. It’s not like there isn’t tape on these guys.

How about we see him on the practice field first before thinking about the impact he’ll have during a game? If he sees the field during our first playoff game I’ll be surprised. Do we have any idea what kind of shape he’s in?

He was pulling a sled 6 weeks ago. Not sitting on a couch. Game legs, on the other hand …

I think CJ will be fine once he has some contact and knows he is ready to go. I have concern about Houston just because of the torque on his ankle when he is bending around the edge. I’m sure he wants to get back for the playoffs but I just hope he is ready.

Decker will tell the coaches when Houston is ready. When he starts beating Houston in practice (like last year) it is time to get him on the field.

You don’t want to put him in just to put him in. He needs to be ready.

Agree. I’m sure he’s stayed in shape. I’m more worried about his cardio and stuff like that.

Seems like a great guy.
