Maybe we are the iteration of the billionth consecutive big bang that has happened in history? Just constantly expanding and collapsing. Like my peepee. Who knows?

Exactly. Or close. Or maybe something like that. I’m thinking 4th of July fireworks exploding around the same time invading each others outward flowing space. But that’s my pea brain wandering, when it should be focused on the koan of why Brad won’t pick an OT in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft.

If you consider that dinosaurs allegedly lived 165 million years on Earth and humans 300,000 years. We are absolutely cavemen compared to what we could become if we exist even a small fraction of that time period.

13.8b years ago big bang

4.5B years ago earth formed

3.0B years ago first single cell organisms formed

500m year ago early multi cell life

300m years ago early animals and plants

150m years ago dinos

First homosapians ~150,000 years ago

So complex life on earth had only existed for about 10% of earth existence

Intelligent life only 0.003%! (1/30,000)

Hence why it’s seemingly impossible to find life on another planet. Because we are seeing life in the past.

There COULD be life on planets out there now. But we can see it because the light hasnt reached us yet.

And if we cant see it, then aliens cant reach us. Per the general relativity.

Yeah, but if the aliens are sufficiently advanced, they would have Internet, am I right?

Much more seriously, awe is appropriate wherever you turn. Being a speck, an instant, a beep and knowing it is, well, awesome.

Check out that Sabine video I posted above. She claims the speed of light is not a real limit.

We are an insignificant speck of dust in the vastness of the cosmos.

Earth to the known universe

Is the same ratio as a micro bacteria to the solar system.

Imagine Voyager 1 16Billion miles away and trying to spot a microscopic virus on earth

Mathematically you could. But its creating negative energy.

You can mathematically do a lot of things. But it requires things that arnt possible. Matter cant be created or destroyed.

You cant pass the speed of light because you need infinite energy. You cant come from beyond the speed of light and go slower because you need negative energy.

Neither are possible physically but are mathematically possible.

Like going to an alternate dimension through blackholes through the singularity. Its mathematically possible. Until you hit the wall of infinite energy.

Even things like wormholes are mathematically possible. Until you realize how much energy is needed just for a small one.

I have to go back and rewatch, and readily admit I’m rapidly getting out of my depth here. But she does seem smart enough to not overlook something as fundamental as what you’re pointing out. Just curious, did you watch it? I’m working right now and will revisit it myself later.

Even if it’s impossible, I want someone dreaming of ways around that. If everyone thought that way, we’d never have the air fryer.

And I seem to remember Captain Kirk cruising at warp seven… So…

I just wanna use the JWST to find the R in Olandis and the second U in Nuclear.

Ill definitely check out the full video.
Ive seen other theoretical physicists explain it,
Definitely curious to see what she has to say.

Yea shes basically explaining using Einstein’s unknown variable.

Same thing. She admits that currently its mathematically impossible. But the unknown variable in relativity is her hope to unlocking that understanding,

You still have the causality issue either way. Because you cant change free will.

If faster than light travel was possible,
Say your holding your phone. Then drop it,
You would see your phone fall back up into your hand.

However you CHOOSE when to drop your phone. So how can you see your phone come back to you if you never chose to drop it.

So yes mathematically possible if you put a negative variable in. (The inverse cone of space time) but to get to that otherside of the cone is completely impossible.

But i agree with her.
The odds of intelligent life is infinitely possible.
The odds of us ever communicating with said life is also infinitely impossible. Direct inverse relationship

Within the hour. A rainbow over KSC

it’s very exciting. hopefully the weather holds through tomorrow.

The weather in terms of rain and wind is looking VERY good. They said the biggest factor for weather is actually fluffy cumulus clouds

If the clouds are too dense, the rocket could cause major static electricity and cause lightning.

So 50 years ago we went there and it took this long to find something that in fact might not be any better? OK, ok…it just seems like something doesn’t add up.

well the big reason we went there originally was russia. Note we quit going when russia dropped out.

Now that china etc are ramping up to get there, we’re going again.
