Risdon talks about it on a “who’s more likely to get extended?” piece on his mailbag. Very interesting. I would’ve thought they would let him play out his 5th year option, but with Rags retiring maybe that opened up a slot for Jamo to get his before too long.
Risdon is well connected. If he’s hearing that it’s getting worked on then I believe it’s happening. Jamo is a vital piece to the offense, even more so now with Morton as OC. I believe we are gonna start seeing way more kill shots with Jamo this year along with laporta verticallly attacking the seams.
I think the question asked to Risdon was between Jamo, Jake Bates, and Brock wright who do you see getting extended first. Risdon was emphatic about Jamo.
Everyone knows he is one of my close buddies. JAMO is rodman. He bought in. He busted is ■■■■■■■ ass and bought in. Brad and Dan are not gonna do him dirty…lowball him etc. When he got suspended last year they were prepared to pay him 25 a year…he cost himself 10 million and has to earn it back. He has been. JAMO is gonna get paid here. The two most important offensive pieces on this offense are JAMO and Gibbs. Everyone else from a skill position is replaceable. The team sees what JAMO has done…the maturity and growth done. The Organization says buy in and trust us…we are family…JAMO is not the kid you ■■■■ w.
Yea we matched the SF offer I believe. I could be wrong but I think that’s the 3 players listed. I’ll be honest, I think Jamo is gonna be a monster this season and we won’t be able to extend him.
I don’t think Jamo would be wise to extend now. He’s primed for a real breakout season and a significant raise in pay from what he could get now if he bet on himself and waited a year.
I think Jamo is going to be talked about as one of the best WRs in the NFL after this next season. I love the dude and hope we can get him extended ASAP because his price is about to go way up.
I mean… He kinda is? Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Ra… LOOOOVE him… But, his skill set is not special. His strength is mental, he’s the tone setter, attitude, dedication, heart of the skill players. Without him, I don’t think the offense turns the corner as fast as they did. But now, with the team built and culture instilled, I could see them moving off him to retain players that possess physical traits he simply doesn’t have. I can see him leaving a lot like Golden Tate did… Just as his play starts to fall off, he’ll sign with someone else for a couple years and that’ll be the end…
