Jarred Goff under pressure stats

Our O-line was not good, not when you’re allowing pressure on 35% of the pass plays.
Maybe the Bucs O-line 's stats were better, I had not seen but Baker can run and that is why some wanted us to get a running QB.

The offense is clearly not in mid season form

Let’s hope they get it going here soon

And my new mantra is this is all just a hangover from last season. The offense was really good and wants to be in playoffs whilst the defense feels they costs us the SB so they are bringing the focus and heat.

Again let’s see this team after week 9

Yep. And Goff golf still sucked under pressure, what’s your point?

Pointing out that Baker Mayfield was under pressure as well doesn’t negate the fact that Goff f****** sucked under pressure and historically f****** sucks under pressure.

Those be empirical facts son.

And for the record, I’m a fan of Goff and think that he is good enough for us to get to the mountain top. But through two games, he hasn’t been.

The reality is a lot of these stats are skewed due to play calling. Ben Johnson needs to get his head out of his ass

Steph Curry doesn’t have a great post game?

Miguel Cabrera couldn’t play 3rd?

Goff was the best QB in the nfl when not under pressure. Logically- scheme your QB not to be under pressure?

Did Burrow or Mahomes win or lose that game? Mahomes 18-25 for 150 and 2 picks?

Is Herbert magically back? It must be Harbaugh?

Should the 49ers not pay Purdy are losing to a short handed Vikings team? They shouldn’t pay him.

Team need playmakers at QB… like AR15 and Lamar- wait… they are both 0-2

We needed to not ■■■■ up the FG to end the half. We needed the refs not to gift a 40 yard shit DPI call against Arnold- and back it up with a missed illegal contact on Jamo that caused and int and another score.

If you don’t think the refs giving a team points- then immediately giving them the ball back impedes the other team big time?

Now it’s time to go nut up

Yep… I said in the game thread yesterday…the refs gifted them 6 points and we took 3 points away from ourselves. That’s a 9 point swing. Lost by 4.

As bad as we played we still shoulda won… Gotta clean it up and move forward though.

I think most sports are about imposing your tempo.

Big crushing hits on D, and if we give up a few plays- ok

Smash between the tackles for 4 yards a pop on 3 straight plays.

I’m not afraid of Murray, but we need to score 34 points to win. I want 30 carries to Monty

Lions are #1 in pass attempts, 84 for 541 (3rd) 1 TD, 3 picks, and QBR 70.6! (#25)
Lions are #14 in rush attempts, 58 for 302 yds (9th), 3 TDs, no fumbles, and 5.2YPC.

Here’s where it gets telling:
Our immobile QB has only been sacked twice. It’s the least in the league. He’s just not playing well. Missing open guys, dirt-balling critical passes, TD/Int ratio is upside down at 1/3.

JG absolutely needs a run game that draws coverage into the box so he can hit receivers in those gaps it creates.

On the flipside. While everyone makes excuses for Goff’s 70.6QBR and not scoring in the red zone, our defense

  1. Held Stafford and Mayfield to 2 TD & 2 Int total
  2. 30.5% 3rd down conversion rate
  3. 7 sacks and 153 rushing yards total
  4. 20 points per game

Sample size is too small to call it a pattern but it’s a good start. Losing at home to a team that only scored 20 points, couldn’t run, and handed us an interception is on the offense.

Ben needs to bring the play action back to the offense, was completely missing against tampa

It’s peculiar that we’ve gone away from it. In fact it seems purposeful. There must have been some strategic reason we decided to pivot thus far, doesn’t make any sense otherwise. It’s not like our staff isn’t aware we’re not doing it.

Interesting Decker and Glasgow got paid and they are the culprits thus far

"Got you covered.

Goff was pressured 19 times during week 2.

Here’s your first troubling statistic: only 7 of those pressures came on blitzes. That means that Tampa Bay got pressure without blitzing on 12 plays.

But here’s where the rails come off and it makes me want to pull my hair out - only 5 of those pressures came off of play action. 14 pressures came off of either max protect or some other non-play-action, non-screen concept. So the question goes back to Ben Johnson, and why the HELL we aren’t calling more play action to make it a bit easier for an interior line that is having a tough time with pass blocking through the first two games?"
