How was that not a catch by Wilson? His heel hit inbounds before his front foot came down. Doesn’t matter what part of the foot hits as long as it touches down first.
They were a top 5 unit last season, they’re very good, especially against the pass
This just in. Niners are still a problem.
NY team overhyped?
Fuc k the niners
One that we have the answers to
I believe we do also, but i respect the coaching and the talent on that team.
Long season. We just needs to take care of our business. Worry about other teams later IMO.
But yes they are still an excellent team.
My takeaway from this game is that the 49ers really didn’t need to pay McCaffrey. He’s special but any RB can succeed in that system.
It makes me think of Gibbs down the line and the dilemma that the Lions will face with him in a system where they can plug a cheaper option in and still have success.
The 49ers are one of the few teams that get after it like the Lions do. Very physical and they play hard.

Of course they are, however, so are the Lions
Did anybody buy the discussions about Niners declining (Trent W., Aijuk- money story) in the off season? I did expect games like this, we have to compete with them - but later in season.
Yeah, it looks like ARod isnt that same guy which destroy Lions dreams for so long. But its just week 1.
NY team overhyped?
The defense especially seems overhyped. At one point the 9ers scored on 8 straight drives, and dominted the time of possession.
After the early impressive scoring drive by Rodgers, the Jets only had the ball for 13 more minutes.
Continually impressed with Brock Purdy. Next Drew Brees IMO. Probably a little more mobile. I didn’t watch him in college, but the NFL really missed on him that draft.
Watched a lot of Purdy, he had some good receivers esp at TE Charlie Kolar who was drafted by the Ravens but is sitting behind 2 of the best TE’s in the NFL. He also had Breece Hall, that O should have been better than they were. I was impressed that San Fran dropped Sudfeld as quickly as they did, I think in a short amount of time they knew exactly what they stumbled into.
Simple and to the point…
IMO, Brock Purdy was the reason we didn’t go to the SB. That and some critical mistakes that we usually don’t make i.e. the fluky bounce off the helmet TD, Gibbs fumbling, and all the Reynolds drops. He was so annoying elusive and accurate. Just made plays.

Pretty amazing what Shanahan and his father have done in the running game the past 30 years… Seems like they can plug in almost any RB and have great success.
