People keep saying wait to see how the defense turns out to determine whether AG gets a job.
Dan didn’t come off of a great season as TE coach and was never a coordinator. I don’t think Dan would be a great coordinator, he is a not a detail guy. He is a big picture leader and motivator like John Harbaugh, Mike Tomlin, Bill Cowher, etc.
Dan was chosen to be the Interim Head Coach as a TE Coach in Miami over all three coordinators after coaching only 3 seasons.
Ben Johnson is a great Coordinator, but I think AG will be a better head coach.
@Mr.Peabody well said… So true. I think Dan Campbell could be a great OC too for the record. But your point is spot on in so many walks of life and professions. I taught PE for a decade plus, they kept wondering if I wanted to apply for Athletic Director. I would always say no. One job was teaching and coaching all day, the other was sitting on your ass and making spreadsheets. ■■■■ that. They were just completely different gigs.
Disner has a little time in personnel and scouting but Disner is an operations and money guy.
I think his career path will lead to a job as a team president more than GM.
Disner is not someone I want handling my draft and building my roster.
Agnew has spent his career building rosters through the draft.
Whenever you are a good standup comedian, people immediately want to know what else you can do that’s related to comedy but not standup comedy. Like being a standup comedian isn’t good enough. “Can you act? Can you direct?” No…I am a standup comedian…that’s what I do. Its like if I worked my ass off to become a great chef and people were saying “sure he’s a great chef…but can he farm?”
We might disagree on Will Harris… But spot on brother. Mitch is a legend… Loved his comedy and sure he was on drugs but he was right most of the time looking back on it.
Of course.
Tons of variables.
It always depends on the organization and situation.
Glenn is 52 and may not be able to be as picky.
I’m sure he will at least get interviews with the Jets and Saints.
Neither have a QB and both have bad salary cap situations.
Hopefully he can negotiate a long 6 year contract like Dan did with the Lions.
He might be able to come in with Agnew as GM in NY or N.O. If the Saints keep Loomis Glenn has worked with him previously.
Also, AG shouldn’t take the Jets job if they plan on keeping Rodgers. He will try to avoid blame and 2nd guess decisions of coaches.
“You might have seen this comedian on the David Letterman show” is my favorite introduction. But I feel like more people have seen me at…the store. So that would be a better introduction. “You might have seen this next comedian at the store.”
Mitch was a star… Anyone have other recommendations for real comedians these days?
I loved Carlin and Mitch… Sure I like dumb comedy too. But smart comedy is always best.
Now it just seems like most comedians are making political jokes… I don’t care which 80 year old retard won. I wanna laugh. Make me laugh with something different.
End rant but anyone with a sense of humor… You get it.
Jets- Dipshit owner, new GM. Lots of offensive talent. D has pieces but needs more. Average division strength. D is his thing, so does he want someone to handle O while he leads, gamedays and fuxes the D?
NOLA- Pretty good owner. O not impressive but has talent. D a little less. Plays in easier division.
I don’t think he would take Raiders or Jags or Giants/Caroluna/Titans if they open up.
Anthony Jeselnik is another good one. He is really witty, but he can also go into some VERY dark places that only a sick mind can appreciate. Hence, why I like him and think you will too.
“I don’t think I ever got over my grandmother’s death. When I was a kid, my grandmother died from a heart attack during my ninth birthday party. Literally, while she was eating cake. And I guess that must have screwed me up a little bit, you know? I mean, I still have birthday parties, but now I’m just careful what I wish for.” - Anthony Jeselnik
“People get weird when kids die, that’s a fact. Like about a month ago some kids in my neighborhood were playing hide-and-go-seek, and one of them ended up in an abandoned refrigerator. That’s all anybody talked about for weeks. I said, ‘Who cares? How many kids do you know get to die a winner?” - Anthony Jeselnik
Anthony is my favorite comic right now and it’s not even close. Seen him live multiple times and he always puts on a great show. Does it mostly without having to wade into “crowd play” for TikTok clips which sadly has become the new norm at shows.
I like that his dark jokes are meant to be funny and/or thought provoking. They are not just shock value jokes that are disgusting but have no appeal outside of that.
I will never get tired of his set up. He leads you one direction, to go take a complete right turn. And even though you expect the turn, it’s always more ■■■■■■ up then you think it will be.
He also has a podcast, JRVP - The Jeselnik & Rosenthal Vanity Project, with his best friend Gregg Rosenthal from NFL.com that I enjoy. It’s been on hiatus for the last 3 months while Anthony was on tour, but thankfully returned last week.
