Jordan Love Signs New Contract

That wasn’t the reason for that bud. I pointed out his first two games and the other two because I was making my point that he had more than just 8 good games. I never ignored the fact that he had some floozy’s in the process. But it already been pointed out to you what I was getting at and just because you have someone on ignore doesn’t mean “no one said this”

I don’t see how it could be anything but good for us and “meh” for them. Either they paid the best qb in football the most money, or they paid an average to bad qb like he’s the best qb in football. I have them going 7-10 next year opening 1-4.

Which is fine, but it’s still the very definition of cherry picking and accusing me of cherry picking when I was comparing the 1st half of the season to the 2nd half of the season was clearly NOT cherry picking.

Like I said, if you were to quote the guy in the thread that you were referring to, there wouldn’t be the misunderstanding. Everyone except one person was comparing the final 8 games of the season to Love’s first 9 games, so if you were to quote the guy, it would be understandable that you were referring to him instead what everyone else was talking about (2nd half vs 1st half). Just try to learn from your mistake so that you don’t cause confusion in the future. Just please treat it as a learning experience.

All I said is I don’t get the 8 game narrative. You decided to chime in with your expertise on “what is it that you don’t get??” I actually didn’t care to expound on it which is why I just said what I said….but you quoted me so there is that. And again, I did not cherry pick. Now I may have been wrong for saying that you cherry picked but I certainly did not cherry pick. Again, part of cherry picking is acting as if something that happened did not happen at all. Now if I was cherry picking what exactly was I acting like didn’t happen??

The 8 game narrative was the final 8 games compared to the 1st 8 game for everyone in this thread except one person, who mistakenly said something incorrect. What is it that you don’t get? It’s really pretty simple.

Picking 3 games out of 8 IS THE VERY DEFINITION OF CHERRY PICKING, but I understand your cherry picking point, in reference to the guy that you failed to quote.

Not when your point is HE HAD MORE THAN JUST 8 GOOD GAMES. See now you are trying to put words in my mouth….its not different than saying a QB was 20 of 30. In that reference you certainly are pointing out the 20 completions….but are you ignoring the 10 incompletions or is it obvious that the 10 incompletions are included and they don’t need to be mentioned?? Again, I was objecting to the narrative that Love only had 8 good games and they were all the last half of the season. That’s simply not true and I really don’t know how many times I’m gonna have to explain this to you. I never ignored any bad games he had but I’m very long winded so just let me know which chair you wanna jump to next sir! :person_shrugging:

Giving a valid reason for doing it doesn’t change the fact that it’s still by definition, cherry picking.

the action or practice of choosing and taking only the most beneficial or profitable items, opportunities, etc., from what is available.

As I said….ir was to say he had more than 8 good games. Now had I pointed out those games to say he had a great season THAT WOULD BE CHERRY PICKING!
