Josh Downs 🔥 Best WR in College Football

Dont expect a pass catcher (wr,te,rb (3rd down type) in the first 4 rounds

But I do. I think it’s likely we snag one on Day 2.

Smith was 5’9" 184 coming out of college (combine results)
To me, that’s a small receiver.
He gained 10 lbs in the pro’s just like all these college guys may do as well.
Tate was 5’10" 199 coming out. 15 lbs heavier.
Regardless, I did look up ‘best wide receivers nfl’, and your point, that there aren’t many small guys who have succeeded, is very valid. Not many exceptions at all. But a few here and there.

I will take a big fast guy over a small fast guy almost every time.

One “lesson learned” for me when it comes to guys like Tavon Austin is that being a “gadget guy” is sometimes harder than being a regular position player. At least in the NFL it is because of all of the attention to detail they have and the different techniques and processes that they have. Tavon was not the sharpest tool in the shed. I will just say it like that. So if you want a guy that is going to play multiple roles, he has to be on the smarter end of things.
