I think the neglected story in this is that she is pounding the drum for the NFL to pull out their over-inflated wallets (and she cites the players for being the reason they’re so rich) and pay for every team in the league to have a grass field rather than a turf or some off-spin of turf one.

I do have to say that in this day and age there is no reason for stadiums without natural grass. Who is the turf guy here, I forget (sorry). I think he said it once. You can put real turf in any stadium just like you can milk anything with nipples fockers.

And many teams practice on turf all week as well. There is no reason NFL teams can’t afford grass. If they cared about player safety they would all have grass practice facilities and grass stadiums to play in. Kelly is spot on.
“Specifically, players have a 28% higher rate of non-contact lower extremity injuries when playing on artificial turf. Of those non-contact injuries, players have a 32% higher rate of non-contact knee injuries on turf and a staggering 69% higher rate of non-contact foot/ankle injuries on turf compared to grass.”

Any of you football players play on FieldTurf before? I played hockey and the surface was always hard.
I have Bermuda grass too, which I understand is usually what they put in these indoor arenas. Not as nice as your Kentucky Bluegrass but it gets the job done. A little less fun to go barefoot for sure.
