Kerby & Branch update?

Except Okudah never looked that good on the field before the injury.

I’ve always thought Okudah was a strong safety. Especially in the box. Very physical, good tackler. A heavy zone scheme, like a Tampa 2 would have been perfect for him. The achilles tear was game over though. It usually is.

Do you think Branch is cooked? Obviously none of us know - but am I right to assume you think he’s largely done with?

Was talking with @Thats2 today about that. He’s far more optimistic than me about it. I expect nothing and hope for the best. At least 80 percent of the time it’s game over. Just a brutal injury.

Okudah, Romeo, Walker… Cooked post achilles

Have the Lions ever had a player play well after that injury?

@Air2theThrown has been pretty outspoken on the topic

Yeah. Safeties don’t come back from that

Not just safeties. Name nfl players who came back strong from an achilles tear?

It’s a very short list.

Again I wish Branch the best. But we would be fools to count on him.

Nothing looms larger in this draft than how the Lions feel about Branch and Joseph long term. It will show the entire direction this draft will go.

Secondary especially feels like a career death sentence

Jaelan Phillips just signed a $30 million AAV deal after having a torn Achilles.

And… he also tore an ACL and medically retired due the concussions. :open_mouth::open_mouth::open_mouth:

I would bet my entire bank account on that deal being a disaster

Like giving Davenport 30 mill a year

I am amazed what they do with torn achilles. NBA players come back from it a lot and I would think that’s tough on the ankles!

This wasn’t meant to be a post about some guys with secret information. Its just a typical podcast that I thought was a fun listen. Talking about Kerby calling himself the comeback player gives me a lot of hope that his knee isn’t as bad as the whole world wants to make it out to be. I’m waiting to see what any official news is before I say his career is over and we need a S ā€œNOWā€. Same with Branch. And seeing Branch without crunches is good.

They also talked about what I say which is the fact that Holmes knows the medical we don’t and he isn’t doing anything to replace them other than sign 1 depth guy. Which is telling. We’ll see if he goes early for one in the draft.

This is just positive talk. That’s it. Not some CIA secret classified information thats leaked.

human centipede is a much more family friendly watch.

I have no idea what that is and terrified to search it

We have Dejonte Murray and Jayson Tatum who do as much cutting, running and jumping as DB will ever do hitting the ground running less than a year after tearing an Achilles.

I heard Richard Sherman mention there’s a new procedure now that as well.

I’m not sure guys who tore Achilles even 5 years are indicative of now but who knows

Interesting about a new procedure. I just need to see some nfl player examples and I’ll buy it.

For a short time they were the best young Safety tandem the league has seen in a long time…

They are two guys in separate basements of their single family homes. They saw a video with hurt lions neither in a boot or crutches.

They went on to say they believe these guys will be healthy if the lions aren’t addressing the saftey spot. That’s it.

Most important post in the thread.
