Kerby Joseph Injury Update isnt looking good

of course. That’s the nature of speculation. Hes not offering a precise diagnosis. He’s simply sharing his opinion based on decades of pro experience. That’s what he does. And many of us fans are thankful for the perspective.

You guys don’t have to read or listen to it. But whining and crying about his perspective because it’s upsetting you is a bit much. Just move on if you don’t like what he offers.

Dr Chao is as reliable as our very own Deadstroke, bro. He’s the real deal.

I tell you about doctors. The first time I had an MRI on my knee decades ago, they told me I had chondromalacia and to exercise the knee to make it stronger and I would have less pain. The next MRI I had they said I had a torn meniscus. I had arthroscopy and the meniscus was fine, cartilage had a hole in it and the exercises they told me to do were the last thing me knee needed. So my opinion of doctors is kind of low. They certainly claim to know things that are merely guesses

I could also have a low opinion of doctors.

But, I still have a very high opinion of Dr. Chao.

Exxxxactly. Complaining that Dr Chao doesn’t have access to medical records is like complaining that Desdstroke shouldn’t post because he doesn’t have direct access to the cap sheet from Brad Holmes office.

If you don’t like Deadstrokes educated contributions then don’t read them - but complaining about them would be weak. Dr Chao is the same way.

You can’t be seriously comparing cap guestimations to medical records. Stroke has the numbers. Chao,a great Dr yes, is going off pure hearsay. No scans, no records, no nothing. That’s like comparing apples and idk rutabagas.

First I’m not complaining about the message/ diagnosis
It is what it is with Kerby, we will get what we can out of him
2nd your analogy with Deadsteoke is a joke

Contracts and cap is all public knowledge

But hey good try sport

No matter what he will be ok. Now the lions are in hole a again.

Absolutely. Safety is a huge issue. Branch is coming back from one of the worst injuries an athlete can suffer from, and at the very least I hope we can all agree that Kerby is a wild card at this point on what to expect.

I thought we had the best safety situation in the NFL to start last season…… and to go from that to where we are now is brutal. Especially considering how much we rely on our secondary to be sticky in Shepp’s scheme. It’s not like we hide people in zone on the back end - as we all have seen, it’s a very unforgiving scheme on the secondary.

Unless we upgrade our pass rush

I have no idea if dr Chao diagnosis is correct he certainly has more knowledge than me but this article from a chargers site throws a little cold water on him being a great doctor

it really makes me wonder how he was basically carried off the field into the tent and then came out fresh as a daisy.

obviously it wasn’t cramps.

I’m reminded of a movie that I can’t remember which it was, longest yard? north dallas forty? a player took a shot to his leg because of injury (and he was terrified of needles) but the pain went away, and he went out and tore his leg up.

I’m less worried about Internet doctors and way more worried about how Campbell sounded when he talked about it openly to the press.

My perspective is that Chao should not be offering any sort of assessment, especially given his very questionable past.

That said, I don’t think we need anything from him to question Kerby’s future.

Between Dan’s comments (“long term”), the fact Kerby disappeared midseason and wasn’t heard from, and his “HELP ME GOD!” social media post, it doesn’t take much to put these things together. We probably just need to come to terms with the fact Kerby’s best days are likely behind him. Because of his position, he might get another year of solid play.

This all sucks. I’m equally worried about LaPorta. And I really hope it’s not related to how Dan pushes the team in practice. The bodies of those like Kerby/others are high performance machines. If you want mileage out of ‘em, you have to treat them properly.

I’m so glad we decided to play him against Kansas City when he was clearly hurt, and that we put him BACK IN THE GAME when he couldn’t ■■■■■■■ walk right before halftime.

As a pure fan of players especially for our team this hurts a lot. Kerby is the ball-hawking safety i could only dream of having. I used to drool over Ed Reed. And I loved GQ. Branch instantly became my favorite players. Him being the hard hitter and all around safety next to Kerby was special. The best dream come true safety tandem. Both these guys are so young, and could have their careers shortend, or they could possibly never reach their full potential after they just started is heart breaking.

Perhaps discussed already but Kerby replied to the internet doctors post basically trolling him. So that was funny
