Still has his ups and downs. Think he went 0-7 the previous 2 games
Yep, he is adjusting to the higher level and better pitching but seems to be adjusting well.
Sometimes bringing up a kid with juice can infuse the whole team with energy
I say bring him. Worst case scenario he can go back down. Rosters expand in September anyways. So he aint far off

There’s no way I’d bring him up. He’s doing well in AA, but there’s a huge difference between AA and AAA. Even bigger difference between AA and MLB. Not saying he couldn’t do well, but no reason to ruin him. I’ve watched the Mariners ruin so many prospects by rushing them.
wait until Sunday to bring him up.
Give him a couple more days to get ready.
He’s older today than he’s ever been before.
His ETA should be adjusted to next year, assuming he keeps this up, but no reason to potentially wreck his development by bringing him up now.

I think that’s overrated.. Kid seeing some white sox pitchers or Twins pitchers? That is basically AAA level stuff. He aint facing Skubal and Skenes. Tigers schedule coming up is soft with pitching talent.
If he still struggles…well send him down. But rosters expand Sept 1st anyways and he will be right back
We should switch entire teams with The Seawolves when we play against those 2 teams.
We would probably win.
Calling up a kid to face the Phillies staff, yea maybe not but that Tigers schedule is real soft coming up. Give the kid a chance
Ive seen it work both ways. For every Mike Trout, who was 19 when they brought him up, there is a Delmon Young.
Tons of examples… But just cause you strike out few times didn’t mean you didn’t learn a ton
Young players go up and down all the time…no big deal IMO
I still feel bad for Bondo being brought up in the 100 something loss season at like 19
Steve Yzerman was 18 years old when he played his first NHL game and 21 when he was named Captain.
Agree wtih this 100%
Earliest is in 2026, probably mid season unless he excels in ST but I think he is starting March of 2027
Makes more sense to let the current guys get at bats against these pitchers they need it.
McGonigle needs to play every day and he won’t be able to do that in Detroit.
Makes no sense.
They do, but not from AA after only 15games thereabouts in AA.
They do from AAA so your analogy doesn’t fit.
There is a chance he’s not ready. But you’re sure not going to ruin him by giving him a shot. If he’s better than his competition, he should play. By not trading Skubal they need to be serious about this World Series thing.
Ruining someone talk is generally bunk for drafting a guy who is not going to make it. Like Harrington.
