Sometimes bringing up a kid with juice can infuse the whole team with energy
I say bring him. Worst case scenario he can go back down. Rosters expand in September anyways. So he aint far off

There’s no way I’d bring him up. He’s doing well in AA, but there’s a huge difference between AA and AAA. Even bigger difference between AA and MLB. Not saying he couldn’t do well, but no reason to ruin him. I’ve watched the Mariners ruin so many prospects by rushing them.

His ETA should be adjusted to next year, assuming he keeps this up, but no reason to potentially wreck his development by bringing him up now.

I think that’s overrated.. Kid seeing some white sox pitchers or Twins pitchers? That is basically AAA level stuff. He aint facing Skubal and Skenes. Tigers schedule coming up is soft with pitching talent.
If he still struggles…well send him down. But rosters expand Sept 1st anyways and he will be right back

Ive seen it work both ways. For every Mike Trout, who was 19 when they brought him up, there is a Delmon Young.

Makes more sense to let the current guys get at bats against these pitchers they need it.
McGonigle needs to play every day and he won’t be able to do that in Detroit.

They do, but not from AA after only 15games thereabouts in AA.

There is a chance he’s not ready. But you’re sure not going to ruin him by giving him a shot. If he’s better than his competition, he should play. By not trading Skubal they need to be serious about this World Series thing.
Ruining someone talk is generally bunk for drafting a guy who is not going to make it. Like Harrington.
