Kyle Brandt and GMFB on ... Monty run

Best segment I’ve seen them do …

Monty is one who exemplifies this team, and he’s not alone.

Monty, ARSB, Penei, LaPorta, Gibbs, Ragnow, the list goes on.

All DAWGS.

Thanks for sharing. Awesome video.

Second those homage t-shirts are fu cking amazing. I have like 4 lions themed ones and 3 hoodies lions themed. Their pop culture stuff is awesome as well. I literally get compliments all the time about my t-shirts…that’s odd to me bc its just a t-shirt…but for real…comfy and cool. Cant beat it. Just got my monty angry runs t shirt last night actually lol.

BTW the CB needed to be sent off for concussion IMO. I mean he was crushed and it appears his helmet bounced off the turf.

Real time I was like how did Monty survive that? Then on the replay I was like daaaaammmmmmm someone check on the CB (Whitherspoon?)

That was a super impressive play. And I feel like we all under valued Monty coming in. Like we all were like YES he is an upgrade. But I do not anyone of us fully grasped how good he is. And I also think that Gibbs and him push each other. Because they know the other is right there. I am not saying either one would not be playing this out. But when you know someone is just as good you tend to bring your A game to meet the challenge.

I thought the same thing. Witherspoon’s brain must have been bouncing off his skull. No way he wasn’t injured. Sometimes it takes a couple of days for concussion symptoms to take hold. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was out next week.

It’s a brutal sport.

That’s winning football … plain and simple.

I was extremely excited when we signed Monty. Seemed like he would kick our ass every time we played Chicago. But with this offensive line, that guy has impressed the hell out of me. He’s been better than I expected. And I expected a lot.

I know some won’t be able to relate to this but I always tried to get Monty as my RB2 on my FF teams. I’ve been aware of his talent for years now.

I thought he would be better than JW but I did not realize he is truly top 10. My biggest surprise is that he has pretty decent wheels. He has shown some acceleration that I did not know he had.

I also think he and Gibbs could put together a nice 4-5 year run together. The splitting of caries and time on the field will help tons. Not just carries but the hits from blocking. Cutting those in half will add years to his career.

This offense looks like it is getting it back together. And with this defense I now feel confident they have a chance at the Super Bowl.

The question will be how hot the overall team is come playoffs.

BTW I mean we all do realize that MCDC and MCDF have something up their sleeves for the KO and KOR game correct? Like they are just waiting. For that matter, I expect to see a line drive that skips at the 18 and allows the Lions to pin a team back at their 5…

I agree, he is faster than even I thought. He can run outside just as well as he can run between the tackles. Gibbs too. They are different style of running backs who can basically do everything well that the position asks. Inside. Outside. Blocking. Catching passes. Getting the tough short yards. It’s the best backfield I’ve ever seen in 45 years of watching these bastards.

He and gibbs are both top 15 in rushing yards through week 4. Jamo is our leading receiver etc. Lots of exciting things and the team is 3-1 with a chance to heal

Hyping that move since day 1.

Who needs gas station dick pills when you can just watch Monty with the rock in his hands? I swear he breaks 3 tackles at least on almost every run.

Not all, he was my boy before we got him. I knew what he was capable of.

Sorry it was one of the few times i got nerdy with stats in projecting a player coming to our team. I felt his high broken tackle and yards after contact, combined with how few times he got tackled for a loss behind that terrible bears oline was a good indicator of his ability to perform in Honolulu blue.

Yep, I started that thread because I thought he would do better with better circumstances. Wasn’t 100% against moving Williams, just thought we would have better options. DM is exactly the player you saw at Iowa State where he set an NCAA record for broken tackles.

Couldnt watch the whole thing with all of the screaming. Way too obnoxious for my blood.

That said, I’m glad Monty is getting the flowers he deserves.
