One of my daughters best friends from HS was Kiah Stokes, she had 5 rebounds and 2 points while playing 27 minutes for the Aces in their championship win last night. She credits Bill Laimbeer with developing her game at the WNBA level when she played for the Liberty. At 6’3" with long arms she used to get called for fouls because it appeared to be impossible to block shots w/o fouling when they were in HS. They won state, and she went to UConn where she mostly sat. Nice to see her perseverance has payed off at the professional level.
