Good point pal.

SB probably 10k. My rec would be if you won the bet, throw a big ass party and save the rest!

10k seems like a great deal for going to Dan Campbell’s first ever SB victory!
You think 10k would guarantee a ticket?

I think it’d be awesome to win the money from betting on your guys - then go see them in the big dance virtually free.

Those numbers mean the odds are worse, no?

Yes, there may have been other factors, but the unexpected retirement of Frank Ragnow must’ve been the biggest factor in Vegas moving the odds in favor of someone betting on Detroit.

I have them at 10-1 to win it all. Made the bet Feb 8th.

Those are decent odds. Our defense should be significantly better than they were at the end of last season. I think Morton can plan and call our balls-out 4th-down offense at least near the level that BJ did, when Dan signals to let the dawgs out. Special teams are still in good hands. Injury luck is up to The Football Gods and they might could smile on the Lions a little more and the Iggles a little less.

Whatever happens, Danimal is our coach and we’ll celebrate, cry and empathize with him no matter what. Who’s got it better than us?

While I’m not expecting Vegas oddsmakers to hire me any time soon…I’ve got us at a 75% chance of winning it all this year.

It’s 100%

Ok, 99% because I know absolute certainty freaks you people out.

(But it’s 100)

I got back late last night and ended up putting $100 each on Lions to win the NFC Championship at 5/1 and the Super Bowl at 12/1. I didn’t bet on winning the NFC North at +130 because of our brutal schedule and division and because our IOL might be a mess early on and make a mess of Jared. But they’ll be locked and loaded for the playoffs.

I also set fire to $20 by betting on Michigan to win the CFP at 25/1. Bruce Underwood needs to be the next messiah for that to happen.

I cashed in 2 of 5 poker tournaments while there. I hadn’t played in tournaments in Vegas for a few years. It’s quite a departure from my weekly social poker game with my misfit friends–math and outs are foreign concepts to a few of them. In any case, there were lots of good players in town for the WSOP and were easy to identify. Many are seriously groomed for Game Theory Optimal, which is fine, yet they seem oblivious to people in general and tight-aggressive players like me trading on that image. I played for about 24 hours in a span of 68 hours, buying in for $620 and netting $1245. I learned I need to be well rested to play well. Duh. My play really degraded in the last 3 tournaments. It wasn’t because of bad luck at all.

So of course, I’ll have to figure out a way to give that money back soon. Maybe next February when I’m flush with Lions cash!!! LOL
