Yup. For the running game to have any impact, the defense needs to get their shit together, at least a little bit.

I guess if I had to show optimism I would say that if you had to build a team start with an offensive line, right? Other than a QB which they passed on.
The offense showed some glimpses and potential. Decent running game, the o-line opening up holes, Hock is a legit TE. Bo-Cephus needs to be starting.
If the defense could even improve to mediocrity, we could win some games.
You just can’t win a football game when you force them to punt in the 3rd quarter for the first time in the game. I understand why MC/DC went for it so many times on 4th down because he knows the defense is atrocious. Bring on Fox to punt leads to an automatic touchdown drive for the other team, lol. Hopefully we see some improvement for the defense as the season progresses and the young guys gain some more experience.
